Motion carried.Moved and seconded file the City Col E-911 quarterly report ending 6-30-03.Motion carried.Moved and seconded the Co Bd meet on 8-27-03 at 9:00a.m. to set the levy limits for townships,fire districts,ag society and library.Motion carried.The following resolution was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 03-39  WHEREAS, Brian D Keyes is the owner of the following-described real estate, hereinafter described and situated in Platte County, Nebraska, to-wit: Lot 25,Hillside Estates 2nd Subdivision to the City of Columbus, Platte County,Nebraska all of which is situated within the boundaries of Platte County,Nebraska,and not within the boundaries of any incorporated city of village, but within the zoning jurisdiction of this City of Columbus,Nebraska and WHEREAS, the plat for said subdivision was approved by the Board of Supervisors of Platte County,Nebraska on the 6th day of November, 1979, by Resolution No. 224, said Resolution being filed for record in the Register of Deeds’ Office of said County of Platte, State of Nebraska, on the 21st day of December, 1979, recorded in Book 69 of Misc Records, Page 553, thereof, and said subdivision was also approved by the Mayor and Council of the City of Columbus, Nebraska, by Resolution No. 4722,said Resolution being filed for record in the Register of Deeds’ Office of said County of Platte, State of Nebraska, on the 21st day of December 1979, recorded in Book 69, of Misc Records, Page 555, thereof; and WHEREAS, the utility easement on the eastern border of Lot 25,Hillside Estates 2nd Subdivision to the City of Columbus, Platte County,Nebraska, has never been utilized for any public utility; and WHEREAS, Brian D Keyes has purchased twenty feet (20’) of real estate adjoining and abutting said Lot 25 on the eastern border thereof, said twenty feet of real estate being now platted and subdivided and known as Lot 1, Brian Keyes Subdivision, a minor subdivision of a tract of land located in the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4) of Section 1, Township 17 North, Range 1 West, of the 6th P.M., in Platte County,Nebraska; and WHEREAS, said Brian Keyes Subdivision provides a ten foot (10’) utility and drainage easement to replace the 10’ utility easement to be vacated and relinquished on the eastern border of Lot 25,Hillside Estates 2nd Subdivision; and WHEREAS, Frontier Comm and Loup Power District are the only utilities serving said subdivision and both of said utilities have consented to the vacation, relinquishment and abandonment of the 10’ utility easement on the border of Lot 25,Hillside Estates 2nd Subdivision to the City of Columbus, Platte County, Nebraska; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Platte County, Nebraska, have determined that it will be in the best interest of Columbus, Platte County, Nebraska, to approve the vacation relinquishment and abandonment of said 10’ utility easement on the eastern border of Lot 25,Hillside  Estates 2nd Subdivision to the City of Columbus, Platte County, Nebraska. NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Platte County, Nebraska, that the aforesaid-described 10’ utility easement on the eastern border of Lot 25,Hillside Estates 2nd Subdivision to the City of Columbus, Platte County, Nebraska. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Platte County, Nebraska, that the aforesaid-described 10’utility easement on eth eastern border of Lot 25,Hillside Estates 2nd Subdivision to the City of Columbus, Platte County, Nebraska, be and hereby is vacated, abandoned and relinquished. That the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and the County Clerk be and hereby are authorized and directed to convey to Brian D Keyes the 10’ public utility easement located on the eastern border of Lot 25,Hillside Estates 2nd Subdivision to the City of Columbus, Platte County, Nebraska. Moved and seconded a public hearing be set for 9-16-03 at 9:30a.m. to add three miles of road located between Sect 32,33 and 34 of T20N,R3W and Sect 3,4 and 5 of T19N,R3W. Motion carried. Craig Nelson and Marshall Tofte of NIRMA  made a presentation to the Co Bd. They presented a book of photos taken at the dedication of the Platte Co Detention Facility on 5-9-03 to the Co Bd.  Committee Reports: Supervisor Friedrichsen will be attending a meeting in Madison Friday at the juvenile facility. Supervisor Woerth stated there will be a hearing 8-27-03  on increasing the E-911 surcharge from .50 cents to $1.00. He also stated the remodeling project is coming to a close, there are still issues that need to be addressed. Supervisor Pfeifer state Rep. Tom Osborne will be in Lindsay today at noon.
