Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Supervisors met in session beginning at 9:00 in the morning. Honorable Ronald Pfeifer,Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk.Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens,

Friedrichsen,Lloyd,Woerth,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Pfeifer.The Aff Publ from Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public meeting were presented. General Assist Adm discussed a county burial claim with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded delay any consideration on the county burial claim presented by the General Assist Adm until we get a legal opinion from the Co Atty.Motion carried.Moved and seconded approve the minutes of 1-21-03.Motion carried.

Moved and seconded file the Co Sher Annual Report for 2002.Motion carried.Moved and seconded file the Co Treas Receipts representing credit to the respective funds:City Col,salary reimbursement,gen fd,$1666.67-EverCom,inmate phone comm,gen fd,$66.97-Holy Family Church,security,gen fd,$140.00;Tim Palensky,witness fees,gen fd,$8.00-Mid Nebr Comm,tower rent,gen fd,$500.00.Motion carried.Moved and seconded approve following township bonds: Frank Hoppe,Columbus,Larry Osterhoudt,Columbus,Ben Jfarosz,Shell Creek, Jeffrey Fadschild,Shell Creek, Luther Bakenhus,Shell Creek, Robert Hinze,Butler,Jack Micek,Butler,Robert Blaser,Butler.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to file the Co audit for year ending 6-30-02 from BKD,L.L.P. Motion carried.The Public Defender discussed personnel matters with the Co Bd. The Co Sher discussed jail issues and permission to hire replacement deputies with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded approve change order #15 as presented by the Co Sher in the amt of $15058.00.

Motion carried.Moved and seconded have the Hwy Dept put rock and other landscaping as needed around the jail in the amt of $2500.00.Motion carried.Moved and seconded file the PrairieLand RC&D meeting minutes for 9-25-02.

Motion carried.Moved and seconded file the Veterans Aid Vouchers from 7-22-98 to 5-30-02.Motion carried.The Platte Co Convention& Visitors Bureau has recommended the appt of Karen Mroczek to the Columbus/Platte Co Visitors Comm. Moved and seconded approve the appt of Karen Mroczek to the Columbus/Platte Co Visitors Comm.

Motion carried.The Co Atty discussed the Interlocal Agreement for City Prosecution with the Co Bd.Sky-Scan Cable informed the Co Bd that they are selling the system to USA Companies. A hearing was held at 10:00a.m. to open the county budget to spend $31507.32 out of the Platte Co Comprehensive Juvenile Services Plan Fund. Moved and seconded to conclude the hearing at 10:02a.m.Motion carried. Moved and seconded to establish the Platte County Comprehensive Juvenile Services Plan Fund with a budget of $31507.32.Motion carried.Moved and seconded authorize the Hwy Supt to advertise for bids on a ¾ ton pickup and a panel wagon to be opened on 3-4-03 at 9:30a.m.

Motion carried.Moved and seconded to accept the bid from Wize Buy Carpet for vinyl in the Hwy Dept for $1025.00.

Motion carried.COMMITTEE REPORTS: Supervisor Martens attended the East-Central Hlth Dept meeting , they will be moving into their new bldg on 2-6-03. He also attended the meeting at the hospital on the small pox vaccinations.

Supervisor Friedrichsen attended the meeting at the Juvenile Detention Center in Madison on 1-31-03. They have four new board members and things are going quite well. Moved and seconded that the following claims be approved as presented and that the Co Clk be ordered to issue warrants of the same on the respective funds.Motion carried.
