Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd of Equalization met in session beginning at 9:00 in the morning. Honorable Ronald Pfeifer,Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk. Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens,

Freidrichsen,Lloyd,Woerth,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Pfeifer.The Aff Publ from the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public meeting were presented.Moved and seconded approve the homestead exemption for Agnes Fix as recommended by the Co Assessor.Motion carried.Moved and seconded approve the three mtr vehicle exemptions as recommended by the Co Treas.Moved and seconded to approve the mtr vehicle exemption for Trinity Lutheran Church.Motion carried.The Chairman recessed the Bd of Equalization until 1:00p.m. for Property Valuation Protest hearings.

Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk.Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens,Friedrichsen,

Lloyd,Woerth,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Pfeifer.Moved and seconded file the quarterly report as presented by Rebecca Rayman for the East-Central Dist Hlth Dept.Motion carried.The Col Public Library presented the results of the summer reading poster contest to the Co Bd.Allan Vyhnalek,Ext Educator discussed the establishment of a formal travel policy for county paid employees of the extension office.Moved and seconded to approve the out of county travel policy for the Extension Off, to be reviewed on an annual basis. Motion carried. Al Povondra, from Carlson West Povondra discussed jail issues with the Co Bd. Steve Sjuts discussed the cemetery issue in Granville Township with the Co Bd. Mr Sjuts has offered to mow Granville Cemetery and lay down boards to the pivot does not go over the graves. Nancy Hartman& others presented a petition to the Co Bd to take control and restore Granville Cemetery. After a lengthy discussion by the Co Bd, descendents of families buried in Granville Cemetery and other individuals, the following motion was made. Moved and seconded the Granville Cemetery be fenced in after harvest and the center pivot owned by Steve Sjuts not be allowed to run through the cemetery effective July 15, 2003.Motion carried.Moved and seconded approve the minutes of 7-1-03.Motion carried.Moved and seconded authorize the Chairman to sign the utility appl for Bill Luckey. Motion carried.The following resolution was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 03-36 WHEREAS, the report and study by the Platte Co Hwy Superintendent has been filed in favor of the vacation of the Weiand Road No. 236 located on the line common to Sections 1 and 12, Township 20 North, Range 3 West of the 6th P.M.,Platte County,Nebraska;and WHEREAS, an offer of relinquishment has been made to the St Bernard Township, Platte County,Nebraska,and WHEREAS, all provisions as set forth by Neb. Rev. Stat., Sec 39-1722 have been satisfied. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that a Public Hearing be held in the Supervisors room in the Platte County Courthouse,Columbus,Nebraska on August 19,2003 at 9:30a.m. The purpose of the hearing is for testimony in favor of and opposition to and to answer questions in relation thereto the abandonment or vacation of the Weiand Road No. 236,more accurately described as follows: A sixty-six (66’) feet wide strip of land for road purposes, thirty-three

(33’) feet each side of the line common to Sections 1 & 12, Township 20 North, Range 3 West of the 6th P.M., Platte County,Nebraska,containing 8.0 acres more or less.Adopted this 15th day of July 2003, at Columbus,Nebraska.
