The following resolution was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 03-48 WHEREAS; The County of Platte, a governmental subdivision of the St of Nebraska, holds title to a segment of road right-of-way, described as follows: A sixty-six (66’) feet wide strip of land for road purposes, thirty-three (33’) feet each side of the line common to sections 1 and 12, Township 20 North, Range 3 West of the 6th P.M., Platte County, Nebraska except the West (1550’) feet thereof, containing 5.65 acres more or less. WHEREAS; It is the intent of this County Board to abandon and vacate said segment of road; and WHEREAS; All provisions of Neb. Rev. Stat., Section 39-1722 through Section 39-1726 have been satisfied; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, that said segment of road as described be vacated by Platte County and the ownership of said segment of road revert back to the private ownership of the adjoining property owners of the Southwest Quarter (SW 1/4 ) and the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4 ) of Section 1 and the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4 ) and the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4 ) of Section 12, Township 20 North, Range 3 West of the 6th P.M., Platte County, Nebraska, One half (33’) feet to each side of said section line. Motion carried.A public hearing was held at 10:00a.m. for the County Budget. Moved and seconded to conclude the hearing at 10:03a.m. Motion carried. The following resolution was presented: STATE OF NEBRASKA RESOLUTION OF ADOPTION AND APPROPRIATION RESOLUTION NO. 03-45WHERES,a proposed county budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2003 to June 30, 2004 prepared by the budget making authority, was transmitted to the County Board on the 16th day of September,2003. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of Platte County,Nebraska as follows: SECTION 1. That the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2003 to June 30,2004 as categorically evidenced by the budget document be, and the same hereby is, adopted as the budget for Platte County for said fiscal year. SECTION 2. That the offices, departments, activities, and institutions herein named are hereby authorized to expend the amounts herein appropriated to them during the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2003 and ending June 30, 2004. SECTION 3. That the income necessary to finance the appropriations made and expenditures authorized shall be provided out of the unencumbered cash balance in each fund, revenues other than taxation to be collected during the fiscal year in each fund, and tax levy requirements for each fund. Nebraska Revised Statutes 77-1601.02 provides that the property tax request for the prior year shall be the property tax request for the current year for purposes of the levy set by the County Board of Equalization unless the governing body of the Platte County Board of Supervisors passes by a majority vote a resolution or ordinance setting the tax request at a different amount; and WHEREAS, special public hearing was held as required by law to hear and consider comments concerning the property tax request; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of Platte County that the property tax request for the current year be a different amount than the property tax request for the prior year. NOW, THEREFORE, the Platte County Board of Supervisors, by a majority vote resolves that; 1. The 2003-2004 property tax request be set at $4,024,800 for the General Fund, $10,400 for the County/Medical, $312,000 for State Institutions,

$26,000 for Special Building, $691,600 for Jail Bond and $160,313 for the Library, for a total of $5,225,113.
