Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Supervisors met in session beginning at 9:00 in the morning. Honorable Ronald Pfeifer,Chairman, Diane C Pinger,Co Clk. Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens, Freidrichsen,Lloyd,Woerth,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Pfeifer. The Aff Publ from the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public meeting were presented.Moved and seconded to remove from the table the audit proposal from Scow Rief Kruse & Schumacher. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to accept the audit proposal from Scow Rief Kruse & Schumacher for fiscal year ending 6-30-04 not to exceed the following figures: General Financial Audit for $15,000.00, GASB 34 Implementation for $2,250.00 and Out-of-Pocket Expenses for $200.00. Clark Grant Atty is requesting the County’s approval of the plat and the adoption of Res No. 04-13 on Country Club Shores 3rd Subdivision. Moved and seconded to table the approval of the plat and resolution on Country Club Shores 3rd Subdivision until the next meeting to give the Hwy Supt time to review the information. Motion carried. Ron Mueller talked to the Co Bd about getting a road abandoned near Monroe. Moved and seconded to allow Mr Mueller to erect a gate to the road in question to keep the public out with accessible keys. Motion failed. Moved and seconded to direct the Hwy Supt to proceed with the abandonment process on the section of road as requested by Mr. Mueller. Motion carried.Moved and seconded authorize the Clk of the Dist Crt to purchase two(2) computers from Best Buy which includes the printers and an on-site three(3) year agreement for $1765.64 to be taken out of the capital account. Motion carried.Moved and seconded authorize the Chairman to sign the utility appl for Keith Pillen. Motion carried.Moved and seconded authorize the Chairman to sign the utility appl for Rod Cheloha. Motion carried.Moved and seconded authorize the Chairman to sign the utility appl for Merle Nelson. Motion carried.

Moved and seconded authorize the Chairman’s signature on the progress estimates on East 29th Avenue in the amt of $163143.97. Motion carried. The Ext Office presented a report on the CYFAR (Children, Youth and Family at Risk) after school program to the Co Bd. The presentation was done by Allan Vyhnalek, Lisa Kaslon and the Coordinator Marla Kurtenbach. The Co Bd was very impressed at the how the program was received. The Hwy Supt presented his findings on the 10yd dump truck bids that were opened at the bid letting on April 20,2004. Moved and seconded to accept the bid from Nebr Truck Center on a 10yd dump truck for the Hwy Dept in the amt of $63840.00 with trade-in. Motion carried.Moved and seconded authorize the Chairman to sign the road maintenance agreement with the City of Humphrey as presented by the Hwy Supt.Motion carried. Moved and seconded to table the request to purchase two(2) computers for the Co Assessor until she can get more bids for the Co Bd.Motion carried.Moved and seconded authorize the Chairman to sign the engineering agreement on Project STPE 3125(6)Monastery Road. Motion carried.

Committee Reports: Supervisor Woerth attended the E-911 meeting,, and he also reported on the shelving units for fourth floor. Supervisor  Friedrichsen attended meetings at the Juvenile Detention Center in Madison and in Central City on the Central Comm College Bd. Supervisor Franzen attended a meeting in Lincoln on the hlth ins and presented a copy of a survey on what other counties are paying toward the insurance and their deductibles. The NACO Bd is recommending a eight percent (8%) increase pending approval by the ins board. Supervisor Martens attended a meeting at the East Central Dist Hlth Dept. He also has a meeting on 5-14-04 wit the Col Collaborative Team to discuss cooperation between Columbus and Madison. He also met with the Co Library Comm and the Library Bd members to discuss negotiations on the current library contract, which the county is currently paying $149147.00.
