Moved and seconded authorize the Co Assessor to purchase five(5) computers in the amt of $8550.00 to be taken out of the capital account. Motion carried. Committee Reports: Supervisor Friedrichsen,Supervisor Martens, Co Clerk and Co Treas met with the auditors at which time they presented a draft of the county audit. Supervisor Woerth reported he had a meeting with Tim Hofbauer, Supervisors Martens and Tooley on computer virus problems. It was suggested the county break away from the city and invest into their own firewall. Tim will get back to the board on the cost. The following resolution was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 04-39 WHEREAS, the County of Platte, Nebraska is the owner and holder of several Certificate of Tax Sale of several parcels of real property issued to the County of Platte, Nebraska, for all delinquent regular taxes thereon, and which having been regularly advertised and offered for sale at tax sale, and remaining unsold for want of bidders, were not sold to said County of Platte, Nebraska, and Certificate of Tax Sale issued thereon under provisions of Nebraska Revised Statutes, Sec. 77-1809 (1981), and WHEREAS, more than three (3) years has elapsed since the above-mentioned issuance of such respective Certificates of Tax Sale and less than ninety (90) days has elapsed since the end of the above-mentioned three (3) year period, and by reason thereof the right to redemption of the owners of claimants of such respective tracts of real property has expired. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Andrea Belgau, Platte County Attorney, be and she is hereby directed, as promptly under the circumstances as is reasonable possible to do, to institute action to foreclose the lien of all real property within Platte County, Nebraska, which having been heretofore advertised and offered for sale and remaining unsold for want of bidders was sold to the County of Platte, Nebraska, and Certificates of Tax Sale issued thereon. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County Treasurer of Platte County, Nebraska, be and the same hereby is directed to issue Treasurer’s Certificate of Tax Sale in favor of Platte County, Nebraska, for all parcels of real property offered for sale for less than three consecutive years which were not sold for want of bidders. Sue Warner, BCBS representative discussed hlth insurance issues with the Co Bd. Greg Lower, Gilmore& Assoc and Charles Bunker, Becton-Dickenson discussed the vacation of 12th Avenue with the Co Bd. The following resolution was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 04-33 WHEREAS, Becton, Dickinson and Company, a New Jersey Corporation, the owner of the real estate described in Exhibit A, in Platte County, Nebraska, has caused the above described real estate to be replatted and laid out into lots and streets under the name of Becton-Dickinson West Subdivision, Platte County, Nebraska, designating explicitly the land so laid out and particularly describing the lots and streets belonging to such Subdivision; and WHEREAS, such Subdivision, lying in the Platte County but within the zoning and subdivision jurisdiction of the City of Columbus, has been approved by the City Council of the City of Columbus, Nebraska; not therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Final Plat of Becton-Dickinson West Subdivision, Platte County, Nebraska is hereby approved. The following was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 04-34 WHEREAS, The County of Platte, a governmental subdivision of the State of Nebraska, holds title to a segment of road right-of-way, described as follows: DESCRIPTION Lots 1, 2, and 3 and the north 62 feet of Lot 4, Block 3, and Lots 1, 2, and 3 and that part of Lot 4, Block 4, described as beginning of a point on the north line 81.5 feet west of the northeast corner of Lot 4; thence southeasterly along the arc of o 79.5-foot radius curve, concaved southwesterly, a distance of 62.4 feet; thence southeasterly, tangent to the last described course, a distance of 15.6 feet; thence southeasterly along the arc of a 79.5-foot radius curve, concaved southwesterly, a distance of 24.0 feet, to a point on the east line, 53.5 feet south of the northeast corner of said Lot 4; thence northerly 53.5 feet, to the northeast corner of said Lot 4; thence westerly 81.5 feet, to the point of beginning, and the west 1.5 feet of the north 62 feet of Lot 4, Block 4, Columbus Industrial Site Subdivision in the NW 1/4 of Section 20, T17N, R1E of the 6th P.M. in Platte County, Nebraska, except the north 27 feet thereof.
