session beginning at 9:00 in the
morning. Honorable John Woerth,Chairman,Diane C
Pinger,Co Clk. Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors
Martens, Friedrichsen,Lloyd,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Woerth. The Aff
Publ from the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public meeting were
presented. A public hearing was held at 9:00a.m.
for the purpose of considering the issuance of an Off Sale Only License and
Bottle Club License to NIMBUS,L.L.C. dba The Twister Bar& Grill, 12227 280th
Street, Columbus,Nebraska. Moved and seconded to conclude the hearing at
9:05a.m.Motion carried.Moved and seconded that the Platte Co Bd Supervisors
recommend to the Nebr Liquor Control Commission that the Off Sale Only License
and Bottle Club License for NIMBUS,L.L.C. dba The Twister Bar& Grill be
granted.Motion carried.Moved and seconded approve the minutes of 3-15-05.Motion

last tax sale.Motion carried. Rick Bogus, Gilmore& Assoc presented the bids
for the Columbus B-D West Site Project to the Co Bd.Moved and seconded award
the bid for B-D expansion project to Gehring Constr& Ready Mix Co in the
amt of $714211.64. Motion carried. The Platte Co Farm Bureau Rep discussed
zoning with the Co Bd.The Co Bd will take the information under advisement.
Moved and seconded authorize the Chairman to sign the utility appl for Cable
Nebr L.L.C. Motion carried.Moved and seconded authorize the Chairman to sign the
utility appl for Paul Ramaekers. Motion carried. Moved and seconded authorize
the Chairman to sign the utility appl for Dale Dicke. Motion carried.Moved and
seconded authorize the Chairman to sign the utility appl for Bill Luckey.
Motion carried.Moved and seconded authorize the Chairman to sign the utility
appl for Frontier Comm. Motion carried. The awarding of the dump truck bids
were discussed by the Hwy Supt and the Co Bd.Moved and seconded to accept the
bid from Wick’s Sterling for a 2006 dump truck for the Hwy Dept in the amt of
$46817.00.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to table the Co Atty’s request to
purchase a new computer until the next meeting. Moved and seconded remove from
the table discussion and appointment of the Columbus Township Board. Motion carried.Moved to
appoint Steve Blaser Chairman of the Columbus Township Board. Motion died due
to lack of a second. Moved and seconded remove item #7 from the agenda, appoint
members of Columbus Township Board to fill vacancies existing Oct 5, 2004. Motion carried. Marlene
Vetick, Clk of the Dist Crt
discussed LB 529 with the Co Bd-State Assumption. This bill transfers the cost
of the employees in district court to the state and not the ongoing operation
costs of the court. The Co Assessor discussed putting county information on the
website and rural aerial photos with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded authorize the Co Assessor to get bids for rural aerial
photos and putting county information on the website. Motion carried.Moved and
seconded authorize the Co Assessor to go on line with GIS Workshop with a cost
not to exceed $15000.00 plus $4000.00 maintenance per year. Motion
withdrawn, no action taken. Asphalt bids for the Hwy Dept were opened
and read.Moved and seconded to refer the bids to the Hwy Supt to review and to
report back with his findings.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to accept the
asphalt bid from Koch Pavement Solutions for the Hwy Dept.Motion carried.Moved
and seconded authorize the Hwy Supt to purchase a new air compressor unit from
Air Power of Nebr Inc in the amt of $10300.00.Motion carried.Moved and seconded
authorize the Hwy Supt to advertise for a special purchase of a used tractor
with 140 hp or more, to be considered on 4-19-05.Motion carried. Committee
Reports: Supervisor Friedrichsen had a meeting at the Juvenile
Detention Center
in Madison. They have don nothing with the refinancing of the bonds. Supervisor
Franzen attended a meeting 4-1-05
with the Ag& Horticultural Land Valuation Board. With the elimination of
this board we will be receiving money back on a prorated basis. Supervisor
Woerth stated fourth floor is complete and the doors are being rekeyed to the
assigned offices. He also discussed E911 issues with the board members. Moved
and seconded that the following claims be approved as presented and the Co Clk
be ordered to issue warrants of the same on the respective funds.Motion
