Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Supervisors met in session beginning at 9:00 in the morning. Honorable John Woerth,Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk. Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens, Friedrichsen,Lloyd,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Woerth.The Aff Publ from the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public meeting were presented. Allan Vyhnalek,Ext Educator presented their annual report and requested two new appointments to the Ext Bd.Moved and seconded to approve the appointed recommendation of Mike Korth and Jan Went to the Ext Bd for 2006-2008.Motion carried. Senator Stuthman updated the Co Bd on the bridge east of the Col Platte River bridge. Moved and seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign a letter of support for the Platte River Bridge feasibility study east of Columbus,NE which also included a pedestrian/bicycle trail and the construction of a new bridge. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to authorize the Co Sher to go wit the pay scale as presented for the deputy pay increases to be effective January 1-1-06.Motion carried. Wilma Arp discussed the Comprehensive Juvenile Services Grant and the director position/benefits with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded to authorize the Hwy Supt to purchase a computer, software and copier printer in the amt of $2784.00 to be paid out of the capital acct. Committee Reports: Supervisor Franzen reported NIRMA has rec’d re-commitments from all the member counties except for a few. They still have time to send in their re-commitments. Supervisor Friedrichsen attended a meeting at the Juvenile Detention Center in Madison. Supervisor Woerth rec’d a call from Deb Loseke and she stated the Historical Society is not eligible for funding through the Chamber of Commerce. The Co Bd conducted their quarterly jail inspection and found it to be satisfactory. The Co Bd set the salaries for the elected and appointed officials for the next term. A resolution will be adopted at the 12-20-05 meeting.
