Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens, Friedrichsen,Lloyd,Pfeifer and Chairman Woerth. Absent: Supervisors Franzen and Tooley. The Aff Publ from the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public meeting were presented. Moved and seconded to approve tax correction #13256 for personal property as recommended by the Co Assessor.Motion carried. Jim Scow and Jodi Prochaska from Scow Rief Kruse& Schumacher PC presented the final audit for fiscal year ending 6-30-05.They also answered questions the Co Bd may have asked.Moved and seconded to accept the final audit as presented by Scow Rief Kruse& Schumacher PC.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the minutes of 10-25-05 and 11-1-05.Motion carried. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the cost for a communications bldg at the new tower site in the amt of $6130.00 as presented by Emergency Manager Tim Hofbauer,to be paid out of the Special Bldg Fund.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the monthly fee reports.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to file the Co Treas receipts representing credit to the respective funds: Platte Co, juvenile monitoring,dist prob fd,$2325.00-York Co,budget share,dist prob fd, $1736.52-Shell Valley Co,grant reimbursement,fed grant fd,$5952.38-Robison Machine, grant payment,fed grant fd, $1031.33-EverCom,inmate phone comm,gen fd,$1906.16-Saunders Co,inmate housing,gen fd,$11400.00-Clk Dist Crt, transport fees,gen fd,$950.00-Platte Co Sher,inmate housing,gen fd,$14400.00.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to file the General Assist Adm reports for August& September 2005.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to file the Co Treas list of distress warrants issued by the Co Sher.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to file the NIRMA and NIRMA II quarterly loss reports ending 10-31-05.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to file the St Nebr DEQ notice of appl for constr approval for the following: Wes Went Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation.Motion carried.The following resolution was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 05-35 FOR AMENDMENTS AND ADDENDUM TO NIRMA/NIRMA II INTERGOVERNMENTAL/INTERLOCAL AGREEMENTS WHEREAS, Platte County has previously entered into Intergovernmental/Interlocal Agreements with other Nebr Counties to form and participate in the Nebr Intergovernmental Risk Management Assoc(NIRMA) and the Nebr Intergovernmental Risk Management Assoc II (NIRMA II) as authorized by the Intergovernmental Risk Management Act (Neb.Rev.Stat.§44-4301 et.seq.); and WHEREAS, Counties and other Public Agencies as defined in §44-4303 are allowed to participate in said cooperative undertakings; and WHEREAS, NIRMA and NIRMA II have provided coverage’s to the County which meet and exceed those provided by traditional insurance carriers; and WHEREAS, NIRMA and NIRMA II provide risk management services such as loss prevention, safety audits, claims and litigation management, and coverages tailored to address liability exposures a county faces not economically available from other sources; and WHEREAS, these coverages and risk management services are essential for the continued effective and efficient use of county taxpayer dollars; and WHEREAS, the current Intergovernmental/Interlocal Agreements will expire on July 31, 2006, and NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that the Platte County Board hereby:1. Extends its commitment to participate in NIRMA and NIRMA II for an additional three years covering the period August 1, 2006 through July 31, 2009; and 2. Declares that this resolution shall serve as an amendment and addendum to the original Intergovernmental/Interlocal Agreements entered into by the County Board, said Intergovernmental/Interlocal Agreements readopted by and incorporated herein by this reference as amended. After motion duly made by Supervisor Lloyd and seconded by Supervisor Friedrichsen, the following members voted by roll call vote in favor of passage and adoption of said Resolutions: Supervisors Martens,Freidrichsen,Lloyd,Pfeifer and Chairman Woerth.The following members voted against the same: None. Committee Reports: Supervisor Friedrichsen attended the Ext Bd meeting and informed them the Co Bd is concerned about the issue of security on people entering the building after hours. He also attended a meeting Friday at the Juvenile Detention Facility in Madison. Supervisor Martens and other Bd members along with Lyle Ernst attended a meeting with the Co Atty on funding for the historical society. Mr Ernst will discuss funding with the Chamber of Commerce.
