Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Supervisors met in a special meeting at 8:30a.m. Honorable John Woerth, Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk. Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens,Friedrichsen, Lloyd,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Woerth.The Aff Publ from the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public meeting were presented. A hearing was held at 8:30a.m. to accept a 3.5% increase for budget year 2005-2006. Moved and seconded to conclude the hearing at 8:31a.m.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to accept the 3.5% increase for budget year 2005-2006.Motion carried.A hearing was held at 8:30a.m. to set the final tax request at a different amt than the prior year. Moved and seconded to conclude the hearing at 8:41a.m.Motion carried.The following resolution was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 05-27 WHEREAS, Nebraska Revised Statutes 77-1601.02 provides that the property tax request for the prior year shall be the property tax request for the current year for purposes of the levy set by the County Board of Equalization unless the governing body of the Platte County Board of Supervisors passes by a majority vote a resolution or ordinance setting the tax request at a different amount; and WHEREAS, a special public hearing was held as required by law to hear and consider comments concerning the property tax request; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of Platte County that the property tax request for the current year be a different amount than the property tax request for the prior year. NOW, THEREFORE, the Platte County Board of Supervisors, by a majority vote, resolves that: 1. the 2005-2006 property tax request be set at $4,668,325 for the General Fund, $62,400 for the County/Medical, $312,000 for State Institutions, $26,000 for Special Building, $676,000 for Jail Bond and $130,000 for the Library, for a total of $5,874,725. 2. A copy of this resolution be certified and forwarded to the County Clerk prior to October 15, 2005. STATE OF NEBRASKA RESOLUTION OF ADOPTION AND APPROPRIATION RESOLUTION NO. 05-28 WHEREAS, a proposed county budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006 prepared by the budget making authority, was transmitted to the County Board on the 16^th day of September, 2005; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of Platte County, Nebraska as follows: SECTION 1. That the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2005 to June 30, 2006 as categorically evidenced by the budget documents be, and the same hereby is, adopted as the budget for Platte County for said fiscal year. SECTION 2. That the offices,departments,activities and institutions herein named are hereby authorized to expend the amts herein appropriated to them during the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2005 and ending June 30, 2006. SECTION 3. That the income necessary to finance the appropriations made and expenditures authorized shall be provided out of the unencumbered cash balance in each fund, revenues and other than taxation to be collected during the fiscal year in each fund, and tax levy requirement for each fund.
