Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Equalization met in session beginning at 9:00 in the morning. Honorable John Woerth,Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk. Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens, Friedrichsen,Lloyd,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Woerth. Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Supervisors met in session beginning at 9:10a.m. Honorable John Woerth, Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk. Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens,Friedrichsen, Lloyd,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Woerth.Moved and seconded accept the salary increases for the county paid employees n the extension office as requested by the Ext Educator to be effective 10-1-05.Motion carried. Stacy Cech,Platte Co Animal Shelter discussed funding support for the animal shelter with the Co Bd. Senator Stuthman discussed a bridge east of the Col Platte River bridge with the Co Bd. The main issue at this time is to decide who of the three counties (Platte, Butler and Colfax) would be the lead agency on a grant for a feasibility study. The location of this bridge will be determined from the study. This is being offered to all three counties to establish a lead agency which would need to be agreeable by the three counties. There is time to decide since the grant isn’t due until 1-1-06. Moved and seconded the Co Bd set levies for all entities on 10-4-05 at 10:00a.m. Motion carried.The Co Bd discussed the quote from Control Masters to replace one hot water and one cold water valve. Moved and seconded to go with option three (3) to replace the hot water valves and the cold water valves in the amt of $11088.00 to be paid out of Bldg Grds Bldg Repair. Motion carried.Moved and seconded the salary of the Weed District Supt be changed from $26200 to $27400 effective 10-1-05.Motion carried.Moved and seconded approve the minutes for 9-6-05 and 9-16-05. Motion carried.Moved and seconded authorize the Chairman to sign the utility appl for Frontier Comm.Motion carried.Moved and seconded authorize the Chairman to sign the Certification to the Board of Public Roads Classification and Standards. Motion carried.Moved and seconded authorize the Chairman to sign the Road and Bridge contracts Report to the Board of Public Roads Classifications and Standards. Motion carried.Moved and seconded authorize the Hwy Dept to erect a stop sign at 3rd Avenue and 83rd Street for west bound traffic. Motion carried. Moved and seconded allow the Hwy Supt to use the contingency funds if not required to advertise for bids up to $31640.00 for floor covering at the new maintenance facility by Platte Center. If we have to go for bids, bids will be opened on 10-18-05 at 10:00a.m.Motion carried.Moved and seconded approve the monthly fee reports.Motion carried. Committee Reports: Supervisor Pfeifer was approached by an individual who lives in Cornlea about emergency sirens in that area. Supervisor Franzen stated he will talk to Mr. Hofbauer about this. Supervisor Friedrichsen attended the extension meeting last Tuesday evening and listened to their revised budget. He will be attending a meeting Friday at the Juvenile Center in Madison on their revised by-laws. Supervisor Franzen sent a letter to all NIRMA counties for re-election to the NIRMA Bd requesting their support. Supervisor Martens will attend the Col Museum meeting this afternoon.
