Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Supervisors met in
session beginning at 9:00 in the
morning. Honorable John Woerth,Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co
Clk. Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens,
Friedrichsen,Lloyd,Pfeifer, Franzen and Chairman Woerth. Absent: Supervisor
Tooley. The Aff Publ from the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public
meeting were presented.The Chairman informed the public of the posting of the
new open meeting laws. Moved and seconded to approve the agenda as presented.
Motion carried.Moved and seconded to authorize the Co Sher to purchase a
computer plus software in the amt of $1343.00 to be paid from the capital
acct.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to authorize the Co Sher to purchase
furniture for the new dispatch center in the amt of $4361.28 to be paid out of
the capital acct.Motion carried.Tim Hofbauer, Emergency Manager discussed the Emergency
Preparedness Training with the Co Bd.The Co Bd discussed the current cleaning
contract. Moved and seconded to advertise for the cleaning and janitorial of
the Courthouse to be opened on 8-15-06 at 9:30a.m. Motion carried.Moved and
seconded to table the request of Andy Jarecki to move the church sign into the
county right-of-way to 7-18-06.Motion carried.The RFP’s from auctioneers for
the sale of the Platte Center Property were rec’d by the Co Bd. Fred
Liss,Hwy Supt will contact auctioneers and Bldg Grds Chairman
to set up a time for interviews. The Co Bd considered prices of intersection
prices by Loup PPD and Cornhusker PPD.Moved and seconded to
accept the proposed estimated cost for intersection lights by Loup PPD and
Cornhusker PPD. To take option one from Cornhusker to make sure it
includes the Lindsay/Genoa Road. Motion failed.Moved and seconded to authorize
the Hwy Supt to purchase a power floor scrubber from M-S Distribution LLC in
the amt of $3995.00.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to refer the engineering
cost estimates for the Lakeview Road Project to the Road-Bridge Comm for more

presented: PLATTE COUNTY, NEBRASKA RESOLUTION NO. 06-17 WHEREAS, the Village of
Leigh, Nebraska, a municipal corporation, and the Leigh Rural Fire Protection
District have presented Resolution to the County Clerk of Colfax
County,Nebraska, the purpose of which is to merge the corporate limits of the
Village of Leigh into the Leigh Rural Fire Protection District; and WHEREAS,
the subject fire district being in Colfax County, Stanton and Platte Counties,
the Joint Resolutions were subsequently submitted by the Colfax County Clerk to
the Stanton County Clerk and Platte County Clerk and the Clerks of all three
counties have provided a certificate as to the adequacy of the joint
resolutions and that true and correct copies of the Joint Resolutions and three
County Clerk Certificates are attached hereto and incorporated herein; and
WHEREAS, the County clerks and County Boards have conferred to designate a time
and place for hearing for the joint meeting of the three County Boards and
notice of such hearing was given by publication for at least two weeks in a
newspaper of general circulation in each of the three counties, the last
publication appearing at least seven days prior to the hearing date which is
set at June 16, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., in the Multi-purpose Building, Fairground
located in Leigh, Nebraska, at which time a quorum of each of the three County
Boards was present. That copies of the notice of
publication are attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. That
all persons affected by these proceedings have had an opportunity to be heard
respecting the inclusion of the corporate limits of the Village of Leigh,
Nebraska, into the Leigh Rural Fire Protection District; and WHEREAS, careful
consideration has been given to said joint Resolutions and the evidence adduced
at the hearing. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the proposal of the
Joint Resolutions that the corporate limits of the Village of Leigh, Nebraska,
be merged into the Leigh Rural Fire Protection District is in face suited to
the General Fire Protection Policy of Colfax County, Stanton County and Platte
County, Nebraska. That the corporate limits of the Village of Leigh is hereby
merged into the Leigh Rural Fire Protection District and the boundaries of the
District shall so reflect such merger and the original of this Resolution shall
be maintained by the County Clerk of Colfax County, Nebraska, with true and
correct copies of this Resolution filed in the offices of the County Clerk of
Stanton County and the County Clerk of Platte County. That the operative affect
of this Resolution is contingent upon all three County Boards passing an
identical Resolution approving this merger of fire districts and the operative
date per the Joint Resolutions shall be September 1, 2006, and the parties to
the Resolutions shall fulfill their obligations as set forth in their
respective Joint Resolutions, which are incorporated herein. IT IS FURTHER
RESOLVED that the County Clerk of Colfax County, Nebraska, shall fix a time and
place for a public meeting of all registered voters who are residing within the
boundaries of the Leigh Rural Fire Protection District for the purpose of
electing a Board of Directors pursuant to Nebraska Revised Statute Section
35-506 (Reissue 2004). WHEREUPON, Board Member Myron Franzen moved to approve
the Resolution and Board Member Ronald Pfeifer seconded. This Resolution was
duly passed and approved by the following Supervisors, to-wit: Martens,
Franzen, Lloyd, Tooley, Friedrichsen, Pfeifer and Chairman Woerth. Dated this 5th day of July, 2006. COUNTY

against each piece of property for street improvement project no. 2 and
sanitary sewer improvement project no. 3 per the assessment schedule and that
