session beginning at 9:00 in the
morning. Honorable John Woerth,Chairman,Diane C
Pinger,Co Clk. Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens,
Friedrichsen,Lloyd,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Woerth. The Aff Publ
from the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public meeting were presented. Moved
and seconded to approve tax corrections
#13278 thru #13286 for real estate& personal property as recommended by the
Co Assessor.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the waiver and to
accept the permissive exemption for the Platte Valley Humane Society and to
direct the Co Treas to collect the penalty in the amt of $304.60.Motion carried.Moved
and seconded to approve mtr vehicle exemptions as recommended by the Co
Treas.Motion carried.The Chairman declared the meeting adjourned to 5-16-06 at

from the Ext Office to attend the Assoc for Natural Res Ext Professionals

adopt the Quarantine& Isolation Regulations as presented by Rebecca Rayman
from the ECDHD.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to accept the proposal to
cover all county employees on the County Employee Life Insurance AD&D
effective 8-1-06 with an approximate cost of $7125.00 as presented by
Supervisor Tooley.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to authorize the Chairman
to sign the Interlocal Agreement with the Weed Dept.Motion carried.Moved and
seconded to approve the minutes of 4-4-06.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to
file the Veterans Aid Exp report for March 2006.Motion carried.Moved and
seconded to approve the monthly fee reports.Motion carried.Moved and seconded
to adopt Res No. 06-05 Approving Depository& Securities for TierOne
Bank.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to file the service report for Feb 2006
for Cable Nebr USA. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to refer the dump truck
bids to the Hwy Supt to review and report back as soon as possible. Motion
carried.Moved and seconded to refer the mtr grader bids to the Hwy Supt to
review and to report back on 5-2-06.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to amend
the previous motion to also have the Hwy Supt report back on 5-2-06 with the
dump truck bids. Motion carried.A hearing was held at 10:15a.m. to consider the issuance of a Special
Designated Permit to Platte Co Ag Society for an event being held at Platte Co
Ag Park on 7-1-06.Moved and seconded to conclude the hearing at 10:16a.m.Motion
carried.Moved and seconded that the Platte Co Bd Supervisors recommend to the
Nebr Liquor Control Comm that the Special Designated Permit for the Platte Co
Ag Society for an event being held at the Platte Co Ag Park on 7-1-06 be
granted.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to authorize Tim Hofbauer, CD
Director to attend the out-of-state training from May 8-12,2006 in Texas.
Motion carried. Darwin Franzen, Leigh Rural Fire Dist is requesting to use the
county’s fleet code to purchase a rescue unit. Moved and seconded to authorize
the Leigh Rural Fire Dist to use Platte
County’s fleet code to purchase a
rescue unit. Motion carried. Correspondence was rec’d from USA Companies dba Cable
Nebr requesting a hearing for performance
review and renewal of permit. Moved and seconded a review hearing be set for 6-20-06 at 10:00a.m. on the performance of
USA Companies dba Cable Nebr
in the Supervisors Room, Platte Co Courthouse,Columbus,Nebr.Motion
carried. Moved and seconded to approve the wage package for the 34 Hwy Dept
employees in Platte Center of 3.25% increase on the total payroll effective 5-1-06.Motion
carried.Moved and seconded to approve the salary increases for the office staff
of the Hwy Dept as follows: Hwy Supt from $45600.00 to $47000.00, Assist Hwy
Supt from $34000.00 to $35250.00 and Dep Clk from $29900.00 to $30900.00 to be
effective 5-1-06.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to authorize the Chairman to
sign the utility appl for Steve Wieser.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to
authorize the Chairman to sign the utility appl for Ron Brandl.Motion

no. 06023374 in the amt of $31.00 due to a duplicate payment by the Clk of Dist
Crt Office.Motion carried.A letter was rec’d from Court Vision Comm Inc
regarding extending the county’s maint agreement on the video arraignment
system. Moved and seconded that Platte
County not extend the maint
agreement for the video arraignment system.Motion carried. Committee Reports:
Supervisor Friedrichsen attended a meeting at the Juvenile Detention Facility
in Madison. Supervisor Franzen
would like the reset of the board to think about combining the Weed Dept with
the Hwy Dept. It would make it more efficient. Supervisor Martens attended a
meeting with the War Memorial Bd on 4-6-06.
Supervisor Woerth stated Architect Al Povondra was at the courthouse checking
out the steps on the east side of the courthouse and the cracks in the wall at
the Platte Co Detention Facility. Moved and seconded that the following claims
be approved as presented and the Co Clk be ordered to issue warrants of the
