session beginning at 9:00 in the morning.Honorable John Woerth,Chairman,Diane C

Friedrichsen,Lloyd,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Woerth.The Chairman
informed the general public on the posting of the open meeting laws.The Aff
Publ from the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public meeting were
presented.Moved and seconded to approve the agenda as presented. Motion
carried.Moved and seconded to approve the minutes of 11-21-06.Motion
carried.Moved and seconded to approve tax corrections #13315 thru #13318 on
real estate and personal property as recommended by the County Assessor.Motion
carried.Moved and seconded to approve the following mtr vehicle exemptions as
recommended by the Co Treasurer: Columbus Comm Hospital Inc.,Boy Scout Troop
115, Holy Family School& Church, St Francis Church, Goodwill Industries of
Greater NE Inc., Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mission Nebraska-ICAN Camp, Center
for Sexual Assault& Domestic Violence, Youth for Christ Columbus Inc, First

Clk.Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors

Chairman informed the general public on the posting of the open meeting laws.
Moved and seconded to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried.The Elect
Comm discussed her ES&S bill with the Co Bd and also requested
re-appointment as the Platte Co Elect Comm for the term beginning January
4,2007 and ending on January 6,2011.Moved and seconded to re-appoint the Platte
Co Elect Comm for the term starting January 4,2007 and ending January 6,
2011.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the pay increases for the
deputies in the Sheriff’s Dept as presented by the Co Sher to be effective
January 1,2007.Motion carried.Moved and seconded that Platte Co continue their
commitment to the bilingual grant as requested by Wilma Arp, Platte Valley
Diversion Program. Motion carried.Moved and seconded that the compensation for
the Veterans Service Officer be the same as the deputies at $32680.00 to be
effective January 1,2007.Motion carried.The following
resolution was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 06-30 WHEREAS,the Board of Supervisors
of Plate County,Nebraska, pursuant to Nebr Statute, is vested with the
authority of administering the affairs of Platte County,Nebraska; and
WHEREAS,it has been determined that a Platte County Local Emergency Operations
Plan has been developed in order to provide for a coordinated response to a
disaster or emergency in Platte County, the City of Columbus and other cities
and villages in Platte County; and WHEREAS,the Bd of Supervisors of Platte
County, deems it advisable and in the best interest of Platte County to approve
said Local Emergency Operations Plan. NOW,THEREFORE,BE
IT RESOLVED, by the Bd of Supervisors of Platte County,Nebraska, that the
Platte County Local Emergency Operations Plan be, and hereby is, approved.

Friedrichsen attended a meeting at the Juvenile Detention Facility in Madison.
Supervisor Lloyd reported the Road-Bridge Comm met on the St Bernard issue of
parking and their recommendation is to leave things as they are. Supervisor
Franzen reported NIRMA met with the insurance group and dividend checks
totaling $500,000.00 will be passed out in February 2007 provided they receive
approval from the state insurance board. The following resolution was
presented: RESOLUTION NO.
06-31 WHEREAS,the Platte Co Treasurer may by and with the
consent of the Platte Co Bd of Supervisors invest surplus Rural Road
Improvement District No.2 bond and tax levy funds, and WHEREAS,it is in the
best interest of the County of Platte that any surplus county funds be
invested. NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,that the County Bd of Platte
County,Nebraska, shall and does hereby give its consent to the Platte Co
Treasurer to invest in United States government bonds, bonds and debentures
issued either singly or collectively by any of the twelve federal land banks,
under the supervision of the Farm Credit Administration, United States Treasury
Notes, from the date of purchase, or in certificates of deposit.The interest
rec’d from investments shall e credited to the Rural Road Improvement District
No. 2 of Platte County. Approved this 19th day of
