Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Supervisors met in session beginning at 9:00 in the morning.Honorable John Woerth,Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk.Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens, Friedrichsen,Lloyd,Pfeifer, Tooley and Chairman Woerth.Absent:Supervisor Franzen.The Chairman informed the general public on the posting of the open meeting laws.The Aff Publ from the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public meeting were presented.Moved and seconded to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the Local Emergency Operation Plan as requested by Tim Hofbauer, Emergency Manager. Motion carried. Larry Sueper discussed parking in St Bernard with the Co Bd, where people are parking on the county road instead of on their own property. He presented pictures to support his complaint. He would like to see no parking signs in this area. Gary Korth,President of the Cemetery Committee talked to various individuals on the parking. He stated you take away the parking, then you take out the interest in the community. We feel the parking signs are not necessary. Linda Frauendorfer came to support the bar and she does not want to see parking signs. Al Weeder said his property is behind the bar, and he has never seen any problem of big farm equipment going through. But he said speed limit signs would be good. Richard Sueper stated there never had been any problems until the new owners took over. He also remarked, he can’t understand what is motivating this issue. Joe Dohmen, owner of the bas also presented pictures to the Co Bd on the parking issue. He stated the bar doesn’t open until 5:30p.m. The Hwy Supt stated this is a county road and is maintained by the hwy dept. The Co Sher was also present to answer any questions for the Co Bd. Allan Vyhnalek, Ext Educator discussed two openings on the Ext Bd for 2007-2009 with the Co Bd and presented their annual report. Moved and seconded to approve the following candidates to the Ext Bd for 2007-2009: Carol Luchsinger and Kevin Coan.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to allow the Co Sher to hire a new deputy as requested. Supervisor Tooley reported on the Veterans Serv Office survey. Supervisor Woerth added he has rec’d good comments on the cleaning service.
