Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Equalization met in session beginning at 9:00 in the morning. Honorable John Woerth,Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk. Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens, Friedrichsen,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Woerth. Absent: Supervisor Lloyd. The Aff Publ from the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public meeting were presented.Moved and seconded to approve mtr vehicle exemptions as recommended by the Co Treas.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve tax corrections #13263 thru #13271 for real estate and personal property as recommended by the Co Assessor.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the permissive exemption for the Sertoma Club which is leased by Simon House. Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Supervisors met in session beginning at 9:10a.m. Honorable John Woerth Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk. Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens,Friedrichsen, Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Woerth. Absent: Supervisor Lloyd. The Aff Publ from the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public meeting were presented. Joe Mangiamelli, City Adm, discussed the safe extermination of birds with the Co Bd. He stated the City Council has rec’d several complaints about the starlings in Columbus. He was in contact with the Dept of Ag on a program to safely exterminate these birds. After several more comments from the Co Bd, Chairman Woerth suggested to Mr. Mangiamelli that he meet with the joint City/County Committee and then cone back with a recommendation to their respective boards. Moved and seconded to authorize the Co Sher to purchase a 2006 Ford Explorer for $20320.00, 2006 Chevy Impala for $19211.00 and a 2006 Chevy Uplander Van for $14986.00 all off the state bid to be paid from the capital acct.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the minutes for 2-7-06.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to refer the issue of life insurance for all county employees to the personnel committee to get more info.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to refer the steel bids to the Hwy Supt to review and report back as soon as possible. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to accept the steel bid from Husker Steel for the Hwy Dept in the amt of $227584.50.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the preliminary plat as presented by Greg Lower from Gilmore & Assoc for Lake Oconee 5th Subdivision. Committee Reports: Supervisor Martens has the annual report for Reg IV if anyone would like to see it. He also attended the Co Bd workshop in Kearney and attended two sessions, one on County Visitors and the other on the administration of General Assistance. Supervisor Friedrichsen also attended the Co Bd workshop in Kearney and will be attending a meeting Friday at the Juvenile Detention facility in Madison. Supervisor Woerth presented a quote to install security cameras in the Courthouse because of the after hour activities. The Bldg Grds Committee will discuss the proposal. Supervisor Franzen was excused from the meeting.
