session beginning at 9:00 in the
morning. Honorable John Woerth,Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk. Roll call and
the following members present: Supervisors Martens,
Friedrichsen,Lloyd,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Woerth.The Aff Publ from
the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public meeting were presented.Moved
and seconded to approve the agenda.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve
the minutes of 6-20-06.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve tax
corrections #13301 thru #13302 on real estate and personal property as
recommended by the Co Assessor.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the
late homestead exemption for Esther Bakenhus.Motion carried.Moved and seconded
to approve the mtr vehicle exemptions for the following: St. Isidore Church,
Rainbow Center and Simon House. Motion carried.The Chairman recessed the Bd
Equalization to 1:00p.m.The Chairman reconvened the Bd of Equalization at 1:00p.m. to hear
protest no’s 1-27 and 98-99 with the following members present: Supervisors
Martens,Friedrichsen, Lloyd,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Woerth.The
Chairman has decided instead of signing the protests, he will use his signature
stamp as an approved substitute. The Chairman recessed the Bd of Equalization

hearing being held on 7-19-06
at 9:00a.m. to

session beginning at 9:10a.m. Honorable
John Woerth, Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk. Roll call
and the following members present: Supervisors Martens,Friedrichsen,
Lloyd,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Woerth.The Chairman informed the
public of the posting of the open meeting laws. Moved and seconded to approve
the agenda.Motion carried.Mike Swartz discussed the renewal of the County Self
Funding Health Plan with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded to authorize the
Personnel Committee to make a decision on the County’s Self Funding Health Insurance
between options 3 and 4 and to report back at the next meeting.Motion carried.
Sherry Pfeifer discussed the request of funding for the CASA Program with the
Co Bd.The Co Bd considered funding of the county health insurance for July
2006.Moved and seconded to make a contribution of $50000.00 into the county
self funding insurance for the month of July 2006.Motion carried. There was a
discussion, consideration and motion whether to put to a vote of the people in
the November General Election the establishment of a county museum utilizing
the existing county historical society and museum in accordance with Neb Rev §
Chapter 51.Moved and seconded to pass a resolution to put the Platte County
Historical Society on the ballot to let the general public vote on the issue
for funding. Motion withdrawn. Moved and seconded to
remove from the table, Andy Jarecki request to move the church sign into county
right-of-way. Motion carried.Mr. Liss reported that
Mr. Jarecki will be working with the St Nebr with regards to the sign issue, so
no action was taken. Moved and seconded
to accept the proposal for roadway lighting from Loup PPD as stated in their
letter. Motion carried.Moved to accept option one proposal from Cornhusker PPD
for streetlights at five locations per cost stated in their letter. Motion died
due to lack of a second. Moved and seconded to accept the proposal of option
one with Cornhusker PPD and authorize the Chairman to sign a two year contract
for a light at the Lindsay/Genoa intersection. Motion carried.Moved
to install a light at the Lake Stop intersection of 18th
Avenue and 82nd Street. Motion died due to lack of a second. Moved and seconded to
authorize the Chairman to sign two (2) federal aid program projects. Motion
carried.Moved and seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign the cover sheet
for BHO-7071(8) Platte Center Southwest. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to
approve the minutes of 7-5-06.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the

cleaning contract for revisions. He also reported on their jail inspection and
