Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Supervisors met in session beginning at 9:00 in the morning.Honorable John P Woerth,Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Clk of the Co Bd. Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens,Friedrichsen,Lloyd,Pfeifer,Franzen,Toolay and Chairman Woerth.The Chairman informed the public of the posting of the open meeting laws.The Aff Publ from the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public meeting were presented.Moved and seconded to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the pay increases for the deputies as requested by the Co Sher to be effective 1-1-08.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to refer the requested equipment purchase for Co Crt to the Bldg Grds Comm.Motion carried. Allan Vyhnalek,Ext Educator discussed pay increases for county paid employees and appointments to the Ext Bd for 2008-2010 term with the Co Bd.He also presented their Annual Report. Moved and seconded to approve the pay increases for county paid employees in the extension office to be effective 1-1-08.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the appointment of Craig Franzen and Ray Sueper to the Platte Co Ext B for 2008-2010.Motion carried. Belitz,Chamber of Commerce discussed funding for the Drive For Five with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded Platte County contribute $5000.00 to the Drive for Five workforce development initiative to be paid from the Inh Tax Fund.Motion carried.Rebecca Rayman,ECDHD presented their quarterly report and discussed a possible grant to fund a county hlth assessment with the Co Bd.The Elect Comm discussed Platte County’s Ballot Printing Commitment with the Co Bd.After getting input from the Platte Co Bd of Supervisors they have agreed it would be in the best interest of Platte County to continue the use of Ultra Graphics as our ballot printer. Mark Bierman and Jason Reiff from Bierman Contracting discussed East 29th Avenue north of the highway with the Co Bd.The following resolution was presented: PLATTE COUNTY, NEBRASKA BOARD OF SUPERVISORS COLUMBUS, NEBRASKA RESOLUTION NO. 07-40. A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE PLATTE COUNTY, NEBRASKA, BOARD OF SUPRVISORS’ CHAIRMAN TO APPLY FOR A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENTH BLOCK GRANT, AND TO EXECUTE ANY RELEVANT DOCUMENTS REFERENCEING  THE KATANA SUMMIT, LLC, ROAD PROJECT. David Bell, Col Economic Council requested the County’s participation in the construction of a county road.Moved and seconded that Platte County participate in the construction of the proposed road at a maximum cost of $100,000.00 or 25% of the final cost whichever is less.Motion carried.The agreement for the provision of Inmate Health Services at the Platte County Detention Facility with Advanced Correctional Healthcare Inc was discussed by the Co Bd.Moved and seconded to approve the agreement with Inmate Health Services at the Platte County Detention Facility with Advanced Correctional Healthcare Inc to be effective January 16, 2008.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign the utility appl for PPD.Motion carried. Motion carried.Moved and seconded that the One and Six Year road hearing be set for January 15,2008 at 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m.Motion carried.The Hwy Supt discussed the wage proposal effective 1-1-08 with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded to approve the salary increases for the office: Hwy Supt an increase of 2.47%, Assist Hwy Supt an increase of 2.48% and Deputy Clerk an increase of 2.5% to be effective January 1, 2008.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to file the St Nebr DEQ construction and operating permit for Dean Preister LLC Animal Feeding Operation, Tim Reardon Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation, Pillen’ s Production Farms Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to adopt Res No. 07-41 approving substitution of securities for TierOne Bank.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to adopt Res No. 07-42 approving substitution of securities for First National Bank & Trust Company. Motion carried. Committee Reports: Supervisor Friedrichsen reported the Juvenile Detention Facility is moving ahead with the minimum wage proposal, he will be attending a Reg IV meeting in Norfolk. Supervisor Tooley reported the county rec’d a quarterly check from Express Script on prescriptions. Supervisor Woerth reported the cleaning company came back with a new proposal for courthouse cleaning.
