session beginning at 9:00 in the morning.Honorable John Woerth,Chairman,Diane C
Pinger,Co Clk.Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens,
Friedrichsen,Lloyd,Pfeifer, Tooley and Chairman Woerth.Absent:Supervisor
Franzen.The Chairman informed the general public on the posting of the open
meeting laws.The Aff Publ from the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public
meeting were presented.Moved and seconded to approve the agenda as
presented.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the minutes of
1-16-07.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve tax corrections #13382
thru #13338 for real estate and personal property as recommended by the Co
Assessor.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the following motor
vehicle exemptions as recommended by the Co Treas: St Bonaventure Church,
Trinity Lutheran Church, Faith Christian Fellowship of Columbus dba Everlasting
Love church and Rainbow Center Inc.Motion carried.The Chairman declared the

carried. Blaine Spady, Smith Hayes discussed the restructuring of the RRID #2
bonds with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded to inform Union Bank of the new debt
schedule and to call the principle in the amt of $4685.20.Motion carried.Moved
and seconded to file the NIRMA and NIRMA II loss reports for quarter ending
1-31-07.Motion carried. Moved and seconded to adopt Res No. 07-06 Approving
Substitution of Securities for TierOne Bank.Motion carried. Moved and seconded
to file the General Assist Adm report for January 2007.Motion carried.Moved and
seconded to adopt Res No. 07-07 to transfer $1280.00 from Homeland Security
Acct to the General Fund Acct of Civil Defense for fiscal year 2006-2007.Motion
carried.Moved and seconded to adopt Res No. 07-08 to transfer $1600.00 from the
Homeland Security Acct to the General Fund Civil Defense Acct for fiscal year
2007-2007.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign
federal aid program resolution No. 0705 for canal bridge No. N3534. Motion
carried.Moved and seconded to authorize the Hwy Supt to advertise for dump
truck bids to be opened on
3-20-07
at 9:30a.m.Motion carried. Carl and Kimberly Jarosz discussed the accident
between them and the county mtr
grader with the Co Bd.They will take their comments under advisement. Moved and
seconded to accept the audit report presented by Scow, Rief, Kruse&
Schumacher for fiscal year ending 6-30-06.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to
approve the request of Sergeant Bills to purchase an Ultralyte 100LR laser
speed measuring device from the STOP funds in the amt of $3695.00.Motion
carried. Steel bids for the Hwy Dept were opened and read at 9:30a.m. Moved and seconded to refer the bids to the Hwy
Supt to review and to report back with his findings.Motion carried. Moved and
seconded to accept the steel bid from Husker Steel. Motion carried. Sherry
Pfeifer introduced Marilyn Campaign as the new CASA Director to the Co
Bd.Moveed and seconded to approve the request of Tim Hofbauer, Emergency
Manager to attend an out-of-state training in Maryland
from 3-5-07 to 3-9-07.Motion
carried. Committee Reports:Supervisor Martens along
with Supervisor Tooley attended the Co Bd workshop in Kearney.
He also attended the meeting in Madison
at the Juvenile Detention facility. Supervisor Friedrichsen attended the Juvenile Detention
meeting in Madison at which
Supervisor Tooley presented the county’s self-funding insurance program. He
will also be attending a Col Area Chamber of Commerce meeting. Supervisor
Pfeifer stated he rec’d a phone call from the Co Atty
regarding Mr Sueper on the parking issue in St Bernard. Supervisor Woerth
attended the NorthStar Inc meeting, they are doing very well. Moved and
seconded that the following claims be approved as presented and the Co Clk be
ordered to issue warrants of the same on the respective funds.Motion carried.
