Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Supervisors met in session beginning at 9:00 in the morning.Honorable John Woerth,Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk.Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens, Friedrichsen,Lloyd,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Woerth.The Chairman informed the general public on the posting of the open meeting laws.The Aff of Publ from the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public meeting were presented.Moved and seconded to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the preliminary plat for The Estates of Lake Oconee Sixth Subdivision as presented by Mike Munson. Motion carried.K.C. Belitz,Chamber of Commerce, discussed the Bldg Entrepreneurial Communities Act with the Co Bd. Moved and seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign the grant appl in accordance to The Bldg entrepreneurial Communities Act and that Platte County serve as lead applicant for the grant and be custodian of the grant funds. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to authorize Tim Hofbauer,Emergency Manager to hire a part-time employee to help with an exercise training program for a period of 36 weeks, 8 hrs a week at $10.00 per hour, with all costs to be paid by Homeland Security. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to authorize the Co Sher to have a radio and air conditioning added to the county maintenance vehicle at a cost of $185.00 for air conditioning, $195.00 for the radio and minus $132.00 to remove the dark window tint for a total net additional cost of $248.00 to be paid from the capital acct.Motion carried.The Co Atty discussed a resolution regarding the ban of weapons in county buildings with the Co Bd.The Co Bd delayed action on this resolution pending action by the Unicameral on bills regarding this issue. Supervisor Franzen was excused from the board meeting.Vanora Mulligan and Tom Placzek discussed a TERC hearing with the Co Bd.They brought the Co Bd up to date on the Boesch property. Moved and seconded to approve the request from the Co Assessor to reduce the value of the Boesch property from 189690 to 177130.Motion withdrawn. They also met with the auditors regarding a listing of accounts that warrants review at a future meeting. Supervisor Martens reported on the East Central Hlth Bd meeting. Supervisor Woerth stated that there were problems with the boiler and that they have been resolved. The restroom floors in the basement have been installed. He also reported on the E-911 system.
