public meeting were presented.The Chairman informed the public of the posting
of the open meeting laws. Moved and seconded to approve the agenda as
presented.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the minutes of
5-15-07.Motion carried. There were no tax corrections presented by the Co Assessor.Moved and seconded to

Cooperative Serv Agreement with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded to deny the
contract with the USDA Wildlife Services. Motion carried. Deb Loseke and
Christine Scow from the Col Chamber of Commerce discussed Col Days with the Co
Bd.Moved and seconded to approve the request from the Chamber of Commerce of
putting a sign on the Courthouse lawn from August 1-8,2007 for Col Days. Motion carried.Moved and
seconded to approve the minutes of 6-5-07.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to

hearing was held at 9:45a.m. to open
the county budget for an additional $2966.16 in the Comprehensive Juvenile Serv
Fund. Moved and seconded to conclude the hearing at 9:48a.m.Motion carried.The
following resolution was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 07-23 WHEREAS, the Platte
County Board of Supervisors have declared an emergency in the County within the
Comprehensive Juvenile Services Fund as stated in State Statute 13-510;
WHEREAS, the purpose is to account for all revenues and expenditures not
allocated to another fund, financing the principle services of the county;
WHEREAS, a need of an additional appropriation of two thousand nine hundred
sixty six dollars and sixteen cents ($2966.16) in expenditures exists for the
continued operation of the Comprehensive Juvenile Services Fund for the
remainder of the 2006-2007 fiscal year. BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
SUPERVISORS of Platte County,Nebraska on this 19th day of
June,2007,that said Board of Supervisors authorize the County Clerk to increase
the budget to spend an additional two thousand nine hundred sixty six dollars
and sixteen cents ($2966.16) from the Comprehensive Juvenile Services Fund for
the remainder of the fiscal year. Dated this 19th day of June,2007.

carried.The Hwy Supt discussed the consultant selection on the CART Trail.
Moved and seconded to endorse Kirkham Michael as consultant for the Monastery
Trail Project.Motion carried.The following resolution was presented: RESOLUTION
NO. 07-24 WHEREAS, the Platte County Treasurer has for a number of years
co-mingled funds from various governmental bodies for the purpose of meeting
the minimum investment requirements necessary to receive higher interest rates
on the investment of such funds pursuant to law; and WHEREAS, the Platte County
Treasurer has been distributing the interest received from such investments to
such various bodies proportionate to each body’s respective contribution to the
principal amount of such investment; and WHEREAS, the Platte County Treasurer
desires that this practice be ratified and approved by the County Board of
Supervisors.NOW,THEREFORE, E IT RESOLVED, that to the full extent permission
under law, the practice of the Platte County Treasurer of co-mingling funds
from various governmental bodies for the purposes of meeting the minimum
investment requirements necessary to receive higher interest rates and the
distribution of such funds in proporation to the respective body’s share of the
investment be ratified, approved and authorized.Dated this 19th day

Hofbauer requested an upgrade for the file
server tape backup system. Moved and seconded to approve the purchase of
an upgrade for the file server tape backup system in the amt of $1737.00 to be
paid from the capital acct. Motion carried.The following resolution was
presented: RESOLUTION NO. 07-25 WHEREAS, the Platte County Treasurer may by and
with the consent of the Platte County Board of Supervisors invest surplus
funds,and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the County of Platte that any
surplus county funds be invested. NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED, that the
County Board of Platte County,Nebraska,shall and does hereby give its consent
to the Platte County Treasurer to invest in United States government
bonds,bonds and debentures issued either singly or collectively by any of the
twelve federal land banks,under the supervision of the Farm Credit
Administration, United States Treasury Notes,from the date of purchase,or in
certificates of deposit.The interest received from investments shall be
credited to the County General Fund of Platte County fiscal year

funds.Motion carried.The following resolution was read: RESOLUTION NO. 07-26
WHEREAS, there exists an emergency in the County certain departments operating
within the County General Fund which has been created by necessary
unanticipated expenses arising therein. WHEREAS, it appears that the
departments immediately following will be overdrawn when the June 2007 claims
are allowed in the sum of $466601.50: Election Commissioner $11221.17-County
Court $57282.91-Public Defender $3184.69-Sheriff $15487.56-Attorney
$46885.96-Jail $87235.45 and WHEREAS, such an additional appropriations needs
to be made to meet such emergency expense.NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED, that in
accordance with Section 23-918 Revised Statutes of Nebraska, that an additional
$221297.74 be appropriated out of the unexpended General Fund items of the
2006-2007 County Budget to meet such emergency for the several departments.Dated

conducted their quarterly jail inspection. Committee Reports: Supervisor Tooley
reported he rec’d a letter from Express Script on the county’s rebate checks
and the renewal for the county’s hlth insurance is due 8-1-07.Supervisor
Franzen attended a NIRMA meeting and they are working on the renewals.
Supervisor Martens reported on some flood issues and some drainage problems southwest
of Monroe, attended the extension board meeting and they are getting ready for
the fair.Supervisor Woerth reposted that he did sign a letter in response to
the Supreme Courts proposed increase in Crt Appt Attorney fees. Moved and
seconded that the following claims be approved as presented and the Co Clk be
ordered to issue warrants of the same on the respective funds.Motion carried.
