session beginning at 9:00 in the morning.Honorable John P Woerth,Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk.Roll call and the following
members present: Supervisors Martens, Friedrichsen,Lloyd,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley
and Chairman Woerth.The Chairman informed the public on the posting of the open
meeting laws.The Aff Publ from the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public
meeting were presented. Moved and seconded to approve the agenda as
presented.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the minutes of
2-20-07.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the tax correction #13339
on personal property as recommended by the Co Assessor.Motion carried.Moved and
seconded to approve the exemption appl form 451 for the Center for Sexual
Assault and Domestic Violence Survivors Inc as presented by the Co
Assessor.Motion carried. Moved and seconded to approve the following mtr
vehicle exemptions as recommended by the Co Treas: Lighthouse Baptist Church,
Boy Scouts of America Troop 276, Lindsay Holy Family School, Holy Family

meeting minutes for 2-20-07.Motion carried.The following resolution was
presented: RESOLUTION NO. 07-13 WHEREAS,there has been
signed by Platte county on the 19th day of January, 1999, and the
State on the 29th day of January, 1999,an agreement providing for
the construction of a Federal Aid Project beginning approximately 1.45 km north
of the Southeast Corner of Section 16,Township 17 North,Range 1E and extends
0.16 km north, crossing the Loup Public Power District Canal. and WHEREAS, in
the above agreement, the County has pledged sufficient funds to finance its
share of the cost of the construction of this project identified as
BRO-7071(7),and WHEREAS,the above mentioned agreement provided that the County
would pay all costs not paid for with Federal of State funds,and WHEREAS,the
State received bids for the construction of this project on March 8,2007 at which
time six bid were received for the construction of this proposed work, and
WHEREAS, the following contractor(s) for the items of work listed has been
selected as the low bidder(s) to who the contract(s) should be awarded:
Christensen Bros., Inc., Cherokee, IA 51012, Grading, Concrete Pavement,
Culverts, Bridges, Guardrail, General Items: $796202.88. NOW, THEREFORE, in
consideration of the above facts, the Board of Supervisors of Platte County, by
this resolution, takes the following official action: 1.If for any reason the
Federal Highway Administration rescinds, limits its obligations, or defers
payment of the Federal share of the cost of this project, the County hereby
agrees to provide the necessary funds to pay for all costs incurred until and
in the event such Federal funds are allowed and paid. 2.The
Board hereby concurs in the selection of the above mentioned contractor(s) for
the items of work listed, to whom the contract(s) should be awarded. 3.The Board hereby authorizes the Chairman to sign the contract(s)
with the above mentioned contractor(s) for the above mentioned work. 4.The Board does not desire to perform any of the work with

Woodville Township, David Olmer, James Brock, Galyn Moeller for Sherman
Township, Kenneth Nelson, Steve Backes and Dale Buhl for Walker Township.Motion
carried. Dump truck bids for the Hwy Dept were opened and read. When the Hwy
Supt returned to the meeting he requested additional time to evaluate the bids.
Moved and seconded to refer the bids to the Hwy Supt to review and to report
back with his findings.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to table the dump
truck bids to 4-3-07.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to authorize the
Chairman to sign the utility appl for Cornhusker PPD.Motion carried.Moved and
seconded to authorize the Hwy Supt to advertise for competitive bids for a
feasibility study on East 29th Avenue to be opened by the
Road-Bridge Committee on 4-13-07 at 1:00p.m.Motion carried. Committee Reports:
Supervisor Martens attended the extension board meeting,
they brought up some concerns which will be given to the Bldg Grds Committee.
He also brought up the issue of the copy machine on 2nd floor.
Supervisor Tooley as Chairman of the Personnel Committee suggested the County
look at the employee handbook regarding sick leave, this issue was discussed at
the Northeast District meeting. Supervisor Friedrichsen will be attending a
meeting at the Juvenile Detention facility on Friday(22),
he will also be attending a Region IV meeting on 4-5-07.Moved and seconded to
authorize the Co Atty to attend an out-of-state seminar funded by the National
College of District Attorneys. Motion carried.The Co Bd conducted their
quarterly jail inspection. Moved and seconded the following claims be approved
as presented and the Co Clk be ordered to issue warrants of the same on the
