Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Supervisors met in session beginning at 9:00 in the morning.Honorable Robert Lloyd,Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk.Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens, Friedrichsen,Woerth,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Lloyd. Absent: Supervisor Franzen. Supervisor Franzen was excused to attend the NIRMA meeting in Kearney. The Aff Publ from Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public meeting were presented.Moved and seconded to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried. Irvin Mueller has come before the Co Bd requesting funds for the care and maintenance of Granville Cemetery. The Co Bd explained to Mr Mueller that according to the county’s rules and regulations they will provide in kind services but will not advance any cash funds. Moved and seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign the utility appl for Frontier. Motion carried.The Hwy Supt discussed leased options on the railroad contract with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded to direct the Hwy Supt to investigate the purchase of said right-of-way. Motion carried.The Hwy Supt discussed options on purchasing a motor grader with the Co Bd.The Hwy Supt discussed estimates on 48th Avenue paving with the Co Bd.The following resolution was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 08-01 WHEREAS, a request for abandonment of a minimum maintenance road located between Section 7 and 18, T19N, R2W has been made by the Burrows Township Board; and WHEREAS, the Platte County Board of Supervisors deems the public interest may require abandonment of said road, NOW,THEREFORE, be it resolved that per Neb.Rev.Stat.39-1722, the Platte County Highway Supt is hereby directed to make a study of the use being made of said public road and submit a written report to the County Board within thirty days of his recommendation as to the vacation or abandonment thereof. Committee Reports: Supervisor Martens attended the ECDHD meeting and passed out correspondence from said meeting  to the rest of the Bd.Supervisor Pfeifer reported the Road-Bridge Comm met and discussed various road projects.
