session beginning at 9:00 in the morning.Honorable Robert Lloyd,Chairman,Diane
C Pinger,Co Clk.Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens,
Friedrichsen,Woerth,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Lloyd.The Chairman
informed the public of the posting of the open meeting laws.The Aff of Publ
were presented with notices published in the Humph Demo on 5-27-08 and the Col
Tele on 5-29-08.Moved and seconded to approve the agenda as presented.Motion
carried. Marilyn Campain, CASA Director discussed funding for next year with
the Co Bd. It was stated the Co Bd would look at this at budget time. Moved and
seconded to authorize the Co Sher to spend $2900.00 for a new PC and upgrades
to be paid from the capital acct.Motion carried.The Co Sher informed the Co Bd
that Platte County has been awarded grant funds from the NIRMA Assist Program
to purchase surveillance equipment for the courthouse not to exceed
$7250.00.Moved and seconded to approve the purchase of the surveillance cameras
for the courthouse in the amt of $14905.00 to be paid from the capital

the renewal of the Platte Co Hlth Plan with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded to

company. Motion carried. Dave Bell presented to the Co Bd the Memorandum of
Understanding between Platte County and Nebr Dept of Economic Development on
the Katana Summit,LLC.Moved and seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign the
MOU between Platte County and the Nebr Dept of Economic Development on the
Katana Summit LLC road project after the following changes and reviewed by the
Co Atty: Equal share between the City and County on infrastructure development
to be $86500.00 each and the contingency fund to be $13500.00 each. Motion
carried.Moved and seconded to refer the mtr grader bids to the Hwy Supt to
review and report back as soon as possible. Motion carried.Moved and seconded
to table the awarding of the mtr grader bids to 6-17-08.Motion carried. Robert
and Clara Shemek discussed bridge cleanup south of their house with the Co
Bd.Moved and seconded to refer this issue to the drainage committee and come
back to the rest of the board with a plan. Motion carried. Mark Jenny discussed
the land locked property with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded to authorize the
Chairman to sign the utility appl for Terry Sjuts.Motion carried.The Hwy Supt
discussed a letter from Loup Township Bd requesting road vacation in Sec
36,T17N,R2W.Moved and seconded to direct the Hwy Supt to draft a resolution to
abandon the minimum maintenance road in Sect 36 in Loup Township.Motion
carried.The Hwy Supt discussed the final bill to BD Const on the Platte Center
Maintenance Bldg.Moved and seconded to approve the final payment of $4650.00 to
BD Const to be paid from the Inh Tax Fund.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to
appoint Carl Hart Jr interim Platte Co Atty upon receipt of the present Co
Atty’s resignation, the existing salary stays as is for the interim Co
Atty.Motion carried. Public Comments: the reporter from the Col Tele asked
questions regarding item 10 on Robert and Clara Shemek bridge clean-up. Moved
and seconded to authorize the Bldg Grds Comm to contract for sidewalk
replacement accepting option A for the east and south sides of the courthouse
for the amt of $10655.00 to be paid from the Spl Bldg Fund and to negotiate the
grinding of the sidewalk on the west side of the courthouse. Motion carried.
Committee Reports: Supervisor Franzen attended the NIRMA board meeting and are
working on the preliminary numbers for the county’s liability,property,crime
and workmen’s compensation policies, and the numbers might be down from last
year.Supervisor Martens met with the Co Atty on the Medical Services Agreement.
Moved and seconded to approve the Medical Services Agreement. Motion carried. Discussion and decision for isolated tract of land. This was
discussed and will be addressed at a later date. Moved and seconded that the
following claims be approved as presented and the Co Clk issue warrants of the
