Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Supervisors met in session beginning at 9:00 in the morning.Honorable Robert Lloyd,Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk.Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens, Friedrichsen,Woerth,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Lloyd. The Chairman informed the public of the posing of the open meeting laws.The Aff Publ from the Col Tele and Humph Demo for notice of public meeting were presented.

Moved and seconded to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried. Marlene Vetick, Clk of the Dist Crt informed of a compliance audit per Section 6050I of the Internal Revenue Code. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to remove from the table the Jenny road appl.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to have the Co Atty draw up a resolution for the establishment of said Jenny road and to be placed on the agenda for March 18,2008 at 9:45a.m.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to authorize the Co Sher to hire a new deputy with a starting monthly salary of $2615.00.Motion carried. Diane Olmer, Elect Comm presented her report on the January and February 2008 elections and presented polling place changes. The Hwy  Supt presented a federal aid program resolution to approve for bridge projects. Moved and seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign the four federal aid program resolutions. Motion carried.The following resolution was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 08-05 WHEREAS, the report and study by the Platte Co Hwy Supt has been filed in favor of the vacation of the District Central Road No.300, located on the line common to Sections 7 and 18, Township 19 North, Range 2 West of the 6th P.M., Platte County, Nebraska; and WHEREAS, all provisions as set forth by Neb. Rev. Stat.,Sec 39-1722 have been satisfied. NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED that a public hearing be held in the Supervisors Room in the Platte county Courthouse,Columbus,Nebraska on April 1,2008 at 9:30 A.M. The purpose of the hearing is for testimony in favor of and opposition to and to answer questions in relation thereto the abandonment or vacation of the District Central Road No. 300, more accurately described as follows: Beginning at point 33 Feet East of the Northwest corner of Section 18, Township 19 North, Range 2 West of the 6th P.M., Platte County,Nebraska; thence Easterly on the North line of said Section 18, to a point 33 Feet West of the Northeast corner of said Section 18, said road right of way being 66 Feet in width and containing 8.0 acres, more or less.Adopted this 4th day of March,2008,Columbus,Nebraska. Motion carried. Committee Reports: Supervisor Woerth reported the painting ahs been completed and he is reviewing the proposal from Gilmore& Assoc on the courthouse steps. Supervisor Friedrichsen reported they discussed the vacation and sick leave at the Juvenile Detention facility in Madison at their last meeting. Supervisor Tooley attended his first Chamber of Commerce meeting. Supervisor Martens met with Gilmore& Assoc and the Hwy Supt on a drainage problem.
