Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Supervisors met in session beginning at 9:00 in the morning.Honorable Robert Lloyd,Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk.Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens, Friedrichsen,Woerth,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Lloyd. The Chairman informed the public of the posting of the open meeting laws.The Aff Publ were presented with the meeting notices published in the Humph Demo on 5-1-08 and the Col Tele on 4-29-08.Moved and seconded to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried.A hearing was held at 9:00a.m. to consider the issuance of a Special Designated Permit to the Chicken Coop of Grand Island Inc for an event being held at Camp Pawnee on 5-24-08 with a rain date of 5-25-08.Moved and seconded to conclude the hearing at 9:07a.m.Motion carried.Moved and seconded that the Platte Co Bd Supervisors recommend to the Nebr Liquor Control Comm that the Special Designated Permit for the Chicken Coop of Grand Island Inc for an event on

5-24-08 with a rain date of 5-25-08 to be granted.Motion carried.The Co Sher discussed the purchase of a camera monitor for the lobby with the Co Bd.The Co Sher requested permission from the Co Bd to have the communication tower inspected. Moved and seconded to authorize the Co Sher to have the communication tower inspected. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the minutes of 4-15-08.Motion carried.The following resolution was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 08-13 WHEREAS,the County has previously issued warrants and said warrants listed below have been outstanding for a period of at least two years, and WHEREAS, it is desirous by Resolution to cancel those warrants.NOW,THEREFORE, be it resolved, that the County Clerk’s list of Outstanding Warrants be stricken from the Platte County records. Matt Gottschall discussed the BECA Grant for 2009-2010 with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded that Platte County support the BECA appl with no commitment of county funds, and serve as fiscal agent for the adm of the grant funds for fiscal year 2009-2010.Motion carried. David Bell, Columbus Economic Council requested the Co Bd to approve a resolution of support for Columbus to become a Certified City. Moved and seconded that Platte County supports the appl of the Columbus Economic Council to the Nebr Dept of Economic Development to have Columbus recognized as a Certified City. Motion carried. Committee Reports: Supervisor Woerth had a discussion with Gilmore& Assoc on the exterior step renovations. Supervisor Friedrichsen talked about his meeting at the Juvenile Detention Center. Supervisor Tooley reported the county’s TPA will be here on 6-3-08 for the renewal of the county’s hlth insurance. Supervisor Pfeifer  reported that the Road-Bridge Comm met with the Hwy Supt and discussed the position of shop foreman. Supervisor Martens attended the ECDHD annual meeting and passed out reports to all the board members.
