Motion carried.A hearing was held at 9:30a.m. for the creation of a rural road improvement district as stated in the proposed Res No. 08-46.Moved and seconded to conclude the hearing at 10:00 a.m.Motion carried.The following resolution was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 08-46 WHEREAS, the owners of not less than twenty-five percent (25%) of the area described as follows: The West 100 feet of the Southwest Quarter of Section 14,Township 17,North,Range 1 East of the 6th P.M. from the South line of said Section 14,North to the North line of the Loup Power District Canal; and The East 100 feet of the Southeast quarter of Section 15,Township 17,North,Range 1East of the 6th P.M. from the South line of said Section 15,North to the North line of the Loup Power District Canal, all in Platte County,Nebraska  have filed a Petition with the Platte County Clerk requesting the formation of a rural road improvement district; and WHEREAS, the road to be improved is East 29th Ave.,Platte County,Nebraska,North from U.S. Highway 30 to the north line of the Loup Power District Canal, an approximate distance of 1,800 feet, and WHEREAS, the proposed improvement is to be ten (10) inch Portland concrete paving, without curb, in the present width and location of the existing road; and WHEREAS,a rough estimate of the total cost of the project is approximately $225,000.00;and WHEREAS,the proposed method of financing this project is through the issuance of bonds, payable from the levy and assessment against the land owners benefited by the improvement; and WHEREAS,the outer boundary, or description of the land in the district which is subject to levy and special assessment is: The West 100 feet of the Southwest Quarter of Section 14,Township 17,North,Range 1 East of the 6th P.M. from the South line of said Section 14,North to the North line of the Loup Power District Canal; and The East 100 feet of the Southeast Quarter of Section 15 Township 17,North,Range 1 East of the 6th P.M. from the South line of said Section 15,North to the North line of the Loup Power District Canal, all in Platte County,Nebraska;and WHEREAS,the Platte County Board of Supervisors, in view of Notice of this proceeding having been given as provided by law, and in view of their being no objections by persons owning more than fifty percent in area of the real property in the proposed district, the Board does hereby find that the Petition for Organization of Rural Road Improvement District filed herein should be approved and the Rural Road Improvement District hereby created. BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of Platte County,Nebraska that RURAL ROAD IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO.3 OF PLATTE COUNTY, NEBRASKA is hereby created.
