Fund for Dondi and Denise Reese dba Eastside Café& Bar in Monroe. Moved and

to approve the revolving loan appl of $35000.00 for Dondi and Denise Reese dba
Eastside Café& Bar in Monroe.
Motion carried.The Co Sher asked the Co Bd to approve the list of items for the
city auction and repairs to the battery backup system at the jail. Moved and
seconded to approve the list of items to be sold at the city auction as
presented by the Co Sher.Motion carried.Tim Hofbauer Emergency Manager
discussed the renewal of the county maintenance and subscription of the county
firewall with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded to approve the firewall maint and
subscription to Connecting Point in the amt of $3998.00 to be paid from the misc
acct.Motion carried.Moved and seconded that Platte County commit $10000.00 to
the CASA Program for fiscal year2008-2009 and the money stay in Platte County.
Motion carried.The Public Defender is requesting the approval to hire a new Dep
Public Defender with a starting salary of $36000.00.Moved and seconded to
authorize the Public Defender to pay the new Dep Public Defender a starting
salary of $36000.00 to e effective 9-29-08.Motion carried. Paul Schumacher Atty
discussed Dish Mounts for Completing Redundant Internet Loop to the Courthouse
with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded to approve the dish mounts on the Courthouse
and the Platte Center
tower at no cost to the county. Motion carried.The General Assist Adm discussed
the reimbursement of Lancaster County for General Assist for a Platte County
resident with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded to table this issue to the next
meeting on 10-21-08.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the request
from the Co Atty to increase the salary of Carl Hart Jr from $51809 to $54095
to be effective
10-15-08.Motion carried.The Co Atty requested approval to
hire a new deputy with a starting salary of $40000.00 to $50000.00.Moved and
seconded to approve the hiring of a new Dep Co Atty with a starting salary of
$40000.00 to $50000.00 depending on experience. Motion carried.Moved and
seconded to authorize the Co Atty to purchase 5 used filing cabinets from Eakes
at $109.00 each to be paid from the capital acct.Motion carried. Discussion and
possible action to approve the Interlocal Agreement between the City of

resolution was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 08-47 WHEREAS,the County of Platte,
Nebraska is the owner and holder of several Certificates of Tax Sale of several
parcels of real property issued to the County of Platte,Nebraska,for all
delinquent regular taxes thereon, and which having been regularly advertised
and offered for sale at tax sale,and remaining unsold for want of bidders,were
nor sold to said County of Platte, Nebraska, and Certificate of Tax Sale issued
thereon under provisions of Nebraska Revised Statutes,Sec 77-1809(1981),and
WHEREAS, more than three (3) years has elapsed since the above-mentioned
issuance of such respective Certificates of Tax Sale and less than ninety (90)
days has elapsed since the end of the above-mentioned three (3) year period,
and by reason thereof the right to redemption f the owners of claimants of such
respective tracts of real property has expired.NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED
that Sandra Allen, Platte County Attorney, be and she is hereby directed, as
promptly under the circumstances as is reasonable possible to do, to institute
action to foreclose the lien of all taxes delinquent, whether regular or
special, on all real property within Platte County,Nebraska,which having been
heretofore advertised and offered for sale and remaining unsold for want of
bidders was sold to the County of Platte, Nebraska, and Certificates of Tax
Sale issued thereon. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Treasurer of Platte
County,Nebraska,be and the same hereby is directed to
issue Treasurer’s Certificate of Tax Sale in favor of Platte

Committee Reports: Supervisor Woerth reported that he
rec’d a letter from Gilmore& Assoc stating the railings and handrails on
the east and south stairways do not meet what was specified in the plans and
specifications. He also reported ServiceMaster rec’d a call from the Treasurer
Office requesting to have their outside windows cleaned. ServiceMaster would
charge $85.00 for this services, it was left up to the Bldg Grds Comm.
Supervisor Friedrichsen reported the Juvenile Center in Madison is in good
shape, he also attended a meeting on 10-3-08 at Reg IV. Supervisor Tooley reported
on the voluntary dental insurance and stated we have over 70 employees
enrolled. Supervisor Martens attended the ext board meeting. Moved and seconded
that the following claims be approved as presented and the Co Clk issue
