set the final tax request at a different amt than the prior year. Moved and

Motion carried.The following resolution was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 08-42
WHEREAS,Nebr Revised Statutes 77-1601.02 provides that the property tax request
for the prior year shall be the property tax request for the current year for
purposes of the levy set by the County Board of Equalization unless the
Governing Body of the Platte County Board of Supervisors passes by a majority
vote a resolution or ordinance setting the tax request at a different amount;
and WHEREAS,a special public hearing was held as required by law to hear and
consider comments concerning the property tax request; and WHEREAS,it is in the
best interest of Platte County that the property tax request for the current
year be a different amount than the property tax request for the prior
year.NOW,THEREFORE,the Platte County Board of Supervisors, by a majority vote,
resolves that: 1.The 2008-2009 property tax request be set at $5038225.00 for
the General Fund, $25000.00 for the County/Medical, $208000.00 for State
Institutions, $26000.00 for Special Building, $675000.00 for Jail Bond and
$138583.00 for the Library, for a total of $6110808.00. 2.A
copy of this resolution be certified and forwarded to the County
Clerk prior to Oct 15,2008.Passed

possible action to offer county employees dental insurance with orthodontics,
decide PPO or Non-PPO with total cost to the employee and to be effective
11-1-08.Moved and seconded to give the county employees the opportunity to
volunteer for dental insurance at no cost to the county. Motion carried.A
hearing was held at 9:25a.m. to adopt the county budget. Moved and seconded to conclude

STATE OF NEBRASKA RESOLUTION OF ADOPTION AND APPROPRIATION RESOLUTION NO
08-43WHEREAS, a proposed county budget for the fiscal year July 1,2008 to June
30,2009 prepared by the budget making authority, was transmitted to the County
Board on the 16th day of September,2008.NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT
RESOLVED,BY THE Board of Supervisors of Platte County,Nebraska as follows:
SECTION 1.That the budget for the fiscal year July 1,2008 to June 30,2009 as
categorically evidenced by the budget document be, and the same hereby is,
adopted as the budget for Platte County for said fiscal year. SECTION 2.That
the offices, departments, activities and institutions herein named are hereby
authorized to expend the amounts herein appropriated to them during the fiscal year
beginning July 1,2008
and ending June 30,2009.
SECTION 3.That the income necessary to finance the appropriations made and
expenditures authorized shall be provided out of the unencumbered cash balance
in each fund, revenues other than taxation to be collected during the fiscal

holds title to a segment of road right-of-way, described as follows: A 66 ft.
strip of land, the centerline of which is more particularly described as
beginning at a point 33 feet East of the Northwest corner of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 36,Township 17 North,Range 2 West of the 6th
P.M.,Platte County,Nebraska;thence Easterly on the North line of said Northeast
Quarter to a point 33 feet West of the Northeast corner of said Northeast
Quarter, containing 4.0 acres, more or less. WHEREAS, It is the intent of this County
Board to abandon and vacate said
segment of road; and WHEREAS, All provisions of NEB.REV.STAT., Section 39-1722
through Section 39-1726 have been satisfied; not therefore. BE IT RESOLVED,that
said segment of road as described be vacated by Platte County and the ownership
of said segment of road revert back to the private ownership of the adjoining
property owner(s) of the adjacent real estate, one half on each side thereof.

flood on the loss of gravel, debris removal on roads and bridges, culvert
repairs and replacement, bridge abutment repairs and various site repairs for a
total FEMA Damage Cost of $124,136.67.When the County receives re-imbursement
of 80%,the money will be deposited in the general fund. The following
resolution was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 08-44 WHEREAS, KATANA SUMMIT,
LLC., is the owner of the real estate located in the Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4
