Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Supervisors met in
session beginning at 9:00 in the
morning. Honorable Robert J Lloyd,Chairman,Diane C
Pinger,Co Clk.Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors Martens,
Olk,Micek,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Lloyd. The Chairman informed the
public of the posting of the open meeting laws. The Aff Publ were presented
with the meeting notice published in the Col Tele on 11-24-09 and the Humph Demo on 11-25-09.Moved
and seconded to approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried.Moved and
seconded to approve the 4% increase for the deputies in the Sheriff’s Dept to
be effective 1-1-2010.Motion carried. Moved and seconded to authorize the Co
Sher to purchase three (3) 2010 Chevy Impalas from Ernst Auto for $19,945.00
each to be paid from the capital acct.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to
continue the payroll procedures as we have been doing in the past with the
exception of the Sheriff and Jail. Motion failed. Moved and seconded to adopt
the payroll conversion plan to hourly salary as Janel has proposed to be
effective 1-1-2010.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the pay
increases for the county paid employees in the Co Extension Office to be effective
1-1-2010.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the appointment of Kevin
Coan and Roxanne Weeder to the Platte Co Extension Board for 2010-2012.Motion
carried.Moved and seconded to re-appoint Marlene Vetick to the Platte Co
Sheriff’s Merit Comm Board for a three year term. Motion carried.Moved and
seconded to approve the pay increases for the Deputy Co Attorney’s to be
effective 1-1-2010: Morgan Smith from $41200.00 to $50000.00 and Carl Hart Jr
from $55700.00 to $60000.00.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the
pay increase for the Deputy Public Defender Tim Matas from $38000.00 to
$43000.00.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve the wage compensation
for the Weed District Supt from $14.16 per hour to $14.48 per hour to be effective
1-1-2010.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to set the One and Six Year Road
hearing for 1-19-2010 from 10:00a.m. to
11:00a.m.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign
the utility appl for Frontier. Motion carried.The Hwy Supt discussed the
designation or appointment of a board member to act as a review appraiser on
the Lakeview Project. Moved and seconded to appoint Supervisor Tom Martens as
review appraiser on the Lakeview Project. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to
approve the wage compensation for the Veterans Service Officer from $16.56 per
hour to $16.93 per hour to be effective 1-1-2010.Motion carried.Moved and
seconded to approve the wage compensation for the Emergency Manager from $18.00
per hour to $18.37 per hour to be effective 1-1-2010.Motion carried.Moved and
seconded to approve the wage compensation for the Maintenance Tech from $15.81
per hour to $16.28 per hour to be effective 1-1-2010.Motion carried.Moved and
seconded to approve the wage compensation for the General Assist Adm from
$11.55 per hour to $11.90 per hour to be effective 1-1-2010. Motion
carried.Moved and seconded to approve the minutes for 11-17-09.Motion carried.
Committee Reports: Supervisor Olk went up to the Maint Shop and introduced
herself to the county employees and they presented some concerns which she
brought back to the rest of the Co Bd. Supervisor Pfeifer reported the
Road-Bridge Comm will meet with the Hwy Supt on Thursday to address
compensation for the Hwy Dept. Supervisor Franzen will be attending a NIRMA
meeting in Lincoln on 12-9-09. Supervisor Martens reported the motor starter
contacts need to be replaced on the elevator. Moved and seconded to replace the
motor starter contact on the elevator in the amt of $721.00 plus applicable taxes.

of Securities for TierOne Bank. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to file the
Co Treas receipts representing credit to the respective funds: Dept of
