Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Supervisors met in
session beginning at 9:00 in the morning.Honorable Robert J
Lloyd,Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk.Roll call and the following members
present: Supervisors Martens, Friedrichsen,Woerth,Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and
Chairman Lloyd.The Chairman informed the public of the posting of the open
meeting laws.The Aff Publ were presented with notices being published in the
Col Tele on 12-30-2008 and the Humph Demo on 12-31-2008.Moved and seconded to
approve the agenda as presented.Motion carried. Jill Owens Col Public Library
introduced herself to the Co Bd as the new Director. Aaron C Gilson, US Bank
discussed the Purchase Card Program with the Co Bd and answered any questions
they had. The Co Sher discussed the proposed rate increase from the Platte
Valley Humane Society with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded to table the proposed
Humane Society rate increase until the next meeting.Motion carried.The Co Sher
is requesting permission from the Co Bd to close the fees acct that is no
longer used. Moved and seconded to authorize the Co Sher to close the old fees
acct that is no longer used. Motion carried. Moved and seconded to approve the
salary increase for Carl Hart Jr to $55720.00 to be effective 1-16-2009 as requested by the Co
Atty.Motion carried. Presented was the Amusement License Holders Petition for
renewal of Public Amusement License: NIMBUS L.L.C. dba “The Twister Bar&
Grill”. Moved and seconded to approve the Amusement License for 2009 on NIMBUS
dba The Twister Bar& Grill. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve
the Certificate of Liability Ins for Shevlin Inc dba ServiceMaster By Shevlin. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to adopt Res

seconded to approve the Emergency Managers request to purchase a projector for
the map room in the amt of $1130.00 to be paid from the capital acct with the

Tooley had nothing to report but he thanked John Woerth for the knowledge and
services for the past twelve years. Supervisor Friedrichsen reported the
Juvenile meeting in Madison was
cancelled because of the weather. Supervisor Woerth stated that it has been an

NEBRASKA Supervisor Franzen appoints Supervisor Lloyd to be Temporary Chairman.
Temporary Chairman asks for nominations for Chairman. Supervisor Martens

their tentative meeting days subject to modifications due to the circumstances
that may arise. Motion carried.Moved and seconded that the County pay meals,
mileage at .55 cents per mile per state pre-registration, lodging or fare
excluding spouses, while attending conventions, meetings and district meetings
relative to the business of the County,to elected county officials, department
heads, and expenses of their personnel shall be paid if such personnel have
been requested to attend meetings or if elected officials or department heads
does not attend, he or she may designate their deputy to attend, their expenses
will be allowed, the county representative must register and should attend all
of the meetings of the convention or their expenses may not be allowed.All
claims need to be accompanied by receipts or cancelled checks. All elected and
appointed officials and department heads need to attend the meetings before
requesting registration and expense reimbursement. The County Board may reject any of all claims. Claims for personal reimbursement less
than $5.00 will be approved. Motion carried.Moved and seconded that the
respective offices and department heads be authorized to purchase items needed
in their office on the open market for the fiscal year July 1,2009 to June
30,2010, but not to exceed $2500.00 per item and if they have the funds in
their budgets. All items are to be purchased in Platte
County if the prices are
comparable. The purchasing guidelines must be followed as per State Statute. Motion

following newspapers be designated as the official paper for the purpose of
publishing notices and minutes of all meetings of the Platte Co Bd of
Supervisors for the year 2009,the rate is not to exceed the legal rate for
publications and have the County Clerk notify the Dept of Roads of such
designation. Columbus Telegram 60% and the Humphrey Democrat 40%.Motion
