Pursuant to adjournment the Platte Co Bd Supervisors met in
session beginning at 9:00 in the
morning.Honorable Robert J Lloyd,Chairman,Diane C Pinger,Co Clk.Roll call and
the following members present: Supervisors Martens,
Friedrichsen,Micek,Pfeifer,Tooley and Chairman Lloyd. Supervisor Franzen was
excused from today’s meeting. The Chairman informed the public of the posting
of the open meeting laws.The Aff Publ were presented with the meeting notice
being published in the Col Tele on 4-28-2009 and the Humph Demo on
4-29-2009.Moved and seconded to approve the agenda as presented.Motion
carried.Moved and seconded to approve the salary adjustment for the Deputy
Public Defender from $34000.00 to $38000.00 to be effective 6-1-2009.Motion
carried. Judge Skorupa discussed storage issued with the Co Bd.Moved and
seconded to authorize the Co Sher to sign the Agreement for Correctional
Telephone Service with Encartele Inc for the jai. Motion carried.Moved and
seconded to authorize the Co Sher to proceed with the painting at the jail with
all expenses to be paid from the Bldg Grds budget. Motion carried.Tom Maul,Atty
and John Zwingman,Advanced Consulting Eng Serv discussed the plans and
specifications for East 29th Avenue.
Moved and seconded to approve the plans and specifications for the construction
of a 6”, 10” and 12” PC concrete paving on East 29th
Avenue and the bid letting be set for May 21,2009 at 1:00p.m. at Tom Maul’s Office. Motion
carried.The County
Visitor Improvement funding request for the Aquatic
Center was discussed. Moved and
seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign the Supplemental Agreement No. 1 for
Preliminary Engineering Services for the Platte County Monastery Trail. Motion
carried.Moved and seconded to authorize the Co Atty to proceed in the painting
of their office with expenses to be paid from the Bldg Grds budget. Motion
carried.Moved and seconded to approve the minutes for 4-21-2009.Motion
carried.Moved and seconded to file the Co Treas receipts representing credit to

2009.Motion carried.Public Comments: Supervisor Micek voiced concerns on the
extension agreement for the Monastery Trail. Committee Reports: Supervisor
Tooley rec’d a call from the Ag Society about using some of the funds from the
Co Visitors Improvement Fund to build a new building. He also stated he will
contact BC/BS for a proposal to enter back into their health plan. Supervisor
Pfeifer talked about the Leigh Dam site. Moved and seconded that the following
claims be approved as presented and the Co Clk issue warrants of the same for
