session beginning at 9:00a.m.Honorable Robert J Lloyd, Chairman, Diane C
Pinger,Co Clk.Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors
Martens,Olk,Micek, Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Lloyd. The Chairman
informed the public of the posting of the open meeting laws. The Aff Publ were
presented with the meeting notice published in the Col Tele on 1-12-10 and the Humph Demo on
12-13-10.Moved and seconded to approve the agenda as presented.Motion
carried.Moved and seconded to approve the minutes of 12-15-09.Motion
carried.Moved and seconded to approve the permissive exemptions for 2010 on
file in the Co Assessor’s Office. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve
tax corrections #13476 to #13485 on real estate and/or personal property as
recommended by the Co Assessor. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve
the following mtr vehicle exemptions as recommended by the Co Treas: Holy

Pinger,Co Clk.Roll call and the following members present: Supervisors
Martens,Olk,Micek, Pfeifer,Franzen,Tooley and Chairman Lloyd. The Chairman

Bernie Hanson and KC Belitz from the Col Chamber presented a report on the
accomplishments of the Drive for Five Initiative to the Co Bd and answered the
Board had. Tom Maul Atty asked the Co Bd to set a date and time for a hearing
as the Bd of Assessment on the East 29th Paving Project. Moved and
seconded to set a hearing for 2-16-10
at 10:00a.m. as
the Board of Adjustment and Equalization to equalize, assess and levy the costs
of the East 29th Avenue
paving project. The meeting will last until all matter that come before it have
been addressed, but not more than one hour. Motion carried.Moved and seconded
to accept the bid from OfficeNet in the amt of $3000.00 for a new copy machine
for the Sheriff’s Dept to be paid from the capital acct.Motion carried.The Co
Bd discussed the update in the Personnel Manuel regarding pay days. Moved and
seconded on page 12 of the personnel policy “all hourly county employees will
be paid on the Thursday after the Co Bd meetings effective 1-19-10”.Motion
carried.Moved and seconded pay day for all salaried county employees will be
the 15th and the last working day of the month. Motion carried.Moved
and seconded to approve the salary and benefit package for 2010-2011 in the amt
of $35,098 for the Diversion Adm. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to approve
the minutes of 01/05/10 and
01/11/10.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to file the Co Treas semi annual
statement. Motion carried.Moved and seconded to file the Col Public Library

hearing was held from 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m.Moved and seconded to conclude the hearing at

carried.The Hwy Supt discussed steel bids with the Co Bd.Moved and seconded to
table the Interlocal Agreement with Colfax Co with regard to the Shell Creek
Bridge located on the Platte/Colfax County line. Motion carried.The Co Bd
discussed the re-issuance of two checks issued on 3-19-1991 for $271.07.Moved and seconded to not reissue
checks on no 4646 for $242.91 and check no. 4742 for $28.16.Motion carried.Moved
and seconded to appoint Tim Matas as the Platte Co Public Defender for the
remainder of the term effective 01/16/10.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to
remove from the table the library bill from the City of Col for
$16,666.67.Motion carried.Moved and seconded to pay the library bill from the
cash reserve in the Bookmobile Fund for $16,666.67.Motion failed. Moved and
seconded to pay half of July for bookmobile service in the amt of $4166.67 from
the bookmobile fund. Motion failed. Moved and seconded to pay $4166.67 for July
bookmobile service, half of August walk in service of $2083.33 and half of Sept
walk in service of $20833.33 for a total of $8333.33.Motion carried.Moved and
seconded to file the Veterans Service Officers quarterly report ending

carried.The following resolution was presented: RESOLUTION NO. 10-03 WHEREAS,
the County of Platte, Nebraska is a member of the Northeast Nebr Solid Waste
Coalition; and WHEREAS, as a member of the Northeast Nebr Solid Waste Coalition
of the County of Platte, Nebraska is authorized to name a representative to the
Board of Directors of the Northeast Nebr Solid Waste Coalition; NOW,THEREFORE,
in consideration of the foregoing recital, the County Board of Supervisor of
the County of Platte, Nebraska hereby adopts the following Resolution: BE IT
RESOLVED, by the County Board of Supervisors of the County of Platte, Nebraska
that: (1)Joe Tooley is hereby appointed s the representative of the County of
Platte, Nebraska to the Northeast Nebr Solid Waste Coalition Board of
Directors, and in the event of the absence of Joe Tooley, then Ronald Pfeifer
shall be declared as the alternate representative to the Board and shall act
and vote on behalf of the County of Platte, Nebraska.(2) That Joe Tooley shall
serve as the County of Platte’s representative to the Northeast Nebr Solid
Waste Coalition Board of Directors until his or her successor is appointed by
resolution of the County Board of Supervisors, whichever shall occur first.

has passed the Bldg Grds Comm and Greg Eller will review the applicants and
report back to the board as a whole. Public Comments: Supervisor Micek reported
on the traffic backup on East 29th Ave
from ADM. Tele reporter wanted a clarification on the library bill. Moved and
seconded that the following claims with the exception of claim no. 10010228 be
approved as presented and the Co Clk be ordered to issue warrants of the same
